The Bhakari are an alien race that succeeded in augmenting themselves with nanites made out of protodermis, thus giving them powers similar to those of Toa. The nanites themselves give additional powers, such as incredibly proficient healing and capacity to cloak themselves behind a holographic false identity. Eventually their civilisation suffered a breakdown where a considerable amount of their knowledge was lost. They began to regress to more tribal ways, the various elements within their race splitting up into “tribes”, or swarms. A small amount of their technology remained; the nanites, considering they had proliferated to the the point that unborn Bhakari were already augmented with them, and the machinery used to preserve D'mrali. They lost any capacity to create hard drives, etc., as D'mrali has to store memories that his brain cannot hold in journals.
The Great Beings eventually came into contact with the Bhakari before the Shattering, when they took an interest in their home-world's energized protodermic core. They arrived on the planet in such force that the Bhakari eventually reciprocated, tiring of the Beings. They took several ships for themselves and began to build their own from them, helped by exchanging of knowledge thru a nanite-aided “internet”.
The swarmed across their own system, taking it for themselves. The war between them and the Great Beings, who were recovering from a major civil reform themselves, ravaged across the galaxy, while higher races - the Rakala amongst others - looked on with despair as the war sunk to new depths.
The natives of Spherus Magna came into contact with them when the bhakari ship, the Foreshadow was gunned down by the Great Being battle craft Aurora, and crash-landed into the north pole of that planet.
J'krel met her first native, Enias the makuta, when she heard an vorox, mutated by a combination of radiation and stray nanites, attacking him and two bhakari, Na'vesh and D'mrali, survived thanks to an escape pod
She quickly teleported from her own pod to the scene, and, with the help of D'mrali, finished the creature off. A small misunderstanding led them to attack Enias. Na'vesh managed to quell the fighting, and gave the makuta a chance to learn their language when J'krel opened her mind to him. She attempted briefly to trick the makuta into thinking they were Beings, but the ruse failed when Enias saw through it.
Na'vesh then picked up a powerful Being transmission which D'mrali decoded. It was an SOS from one of the surviving prisoners. The four of them quickly began to track the signal's source, and there met with an Order Recon team, headed by the skrall Ghaile. Enias and the bhakari were separated; Enias was the first to find the Capries' - the Great Being - pods' crater and then quickly expelled from it by a gout of Being-controlled fire. He landed in the middle of another diplomatic effort between the Recon team and the bhakari, causing it to go up in chaos.
The matter eventually resolved itself, and the Recon team brought together a group of toa with the intention of trapping the Being inside a Protodermic Cage. Their effort was thwarted, however, when the agori Kor jumped in front of the caging, merging him and the Being, Capries, into one, destroying Kor's original body in the process.
J'krel is Vulcan's character in one the BRCII's roleplays, and a member of his race, which appeared in When Gods Fall . I quite enjoyed making her, but she was an absolute DEVIL posing. Those triple-jointed legs are a total pain.
Well, none of that story made the slightest bit of sense, but I liked it all the same. The MOC is good too, though she seems a little... I don't know, chaotic, maybe? specifically the legs, but I really like that head. Ah well. Nice work, anyway. :D
