A small tower, sitting quietly in a moonlit clearing.
About this creation

Sir Dylan and his squire, Bob (or Kate for short), were crossing the Blasted Heath. This was a terrible place, though better than the Infernal Wilson (Classic Space era sattire!).
"There must be some kinda way outta here", said Squire Bob to Sir Dylan.
"I think I can see a wood up ahead", replied Sir Dylan, "Let's shelter in the trees."

As they ventured into the forest, they spied a small tower, sitting quietly in a moonlit clearing. There was a lookout on the battlements.
"We will ask for food and shelter for the night in this small castle", said Sir Dylan.

As they drew closer to the tower, Sir Dylan realised that the coat of arms on the lookout's chest were totally strange to him.
"Go away!", shouted the lookout, "There's nothing for you here. Flee whilst you can!"
The lookout suddenly vanished, taking the tower's flag with him.

Suddenly the earth shook and there was a sound like the roar of a thousand demons. The tower rose out of the ground, propelled by some magical force. Sir Dylan & squire Bob saw the face of the lookout smiling through a window, as the tower rumbled into the sky. Sir Dylan & squire Bob were totally terrified but kept on smiling too, because this was the only expression that anyone could have in the old days.

Soon the castle/rocket was in orbit around the Earth. Nobody ever went into the forest of firey castles again. Sir Dylan and squire Bob had stumbled upon a W.A.T.C.H. Tower. The World Agency for Time & Correct History had been created to protect the galaxy from people with time-machines, who wanted to try to mess around with history and the time-line.

The smiling pilot ejected the ABBA tape from his deluxe, auto-reversing tape player and slotted in a Brotherhood of Man cassette. The WATCH Tower's alarms went off. There were Spider Pirates in the area. Quickly, the pilot engaged the TTFN Drive (Time Travel Future Nexus Drive) and vanished.

The WATCH Tower materialised hundreds of years into the future. August 14th 1979 (around tea-time) to be precise. It landed at a moonbase and opened up to release the pilot and show the TTFN Drive inside the castle tower. The WATCH Tower was refuelled by a pod-hoverer, ready for its next mission against H.A.C.K.: the History Anarchy & Chaos Kollective.
To be continued...
Fourth Wall Commentary. This MOC was inspired by an article in the Lego Builders' Club magazine, "Bricks 'n' Pieces", nearly 28 years ago. Click the link and go to page 8. Was this where Classic Spastle started?
Here's the WATCH Tower on my kitchen table.

What a fun genre Classic Spastle is! I realise that my degree dissertation was on the computational fluid dynamics of supersonic flows over missile forebodies. I studied cones and various ellipsoids but never battlements for some strange reason...

Kind of like a CS TARDIS....right?
Yes but disguised as a castle rather than a phone box :) I think that the chameleon circuit is stuck, which is a common problem on TARDISes... |

Haha, very clever! Now I have those first few riffs from Hendrix's cover stuck in my head... Love that behind the scenes picture at the end!
Glad you enjoyed the MOC. Sorry about the song in the brain thing. I've got the Dylan original going round in mine and the Hendrix version is definitely better! (Even Dylan admitted this) |

Haha, great work, it's good to see some Spastle gracing the 'pages. The ship has the old Classic look while still retaining some surprising complex elements. (Like the engine) Very impressive, I look forward to future episodes.
Thanks for your long comment! Yeah, there should more "spastle" MOCs, if only because it's a fun word to use! I've the next episode ready to launch. No spastle in it though :( |

Thanks for your comment! I enjoying doing the maintenance vehicles for these MOCs: it's the nearest to proper vignettes that I can get to! "Spastle", it's a great word! |

Haha brilliant. :). Great song, great moc and a brilliant crossover. Your white spaceman torso is in perfect condition, mine has lost his gold :(. Haven't had time to take those pictures yet but I will do asap.
Glad you enjoyed it! I think that the white spaceman is about the best of my bunch. Some of them didn't take to well to going in the washing machine last year :( |

Aha! You fell into my trap! I suppose that a lot of folk won't look at this MOC because it looks like an innocent castle tower... |
