Yesterday, I received the Seaside House and I already made an alternate model of it. Since this set seems to have been designed specially for summer buildings, well, I built a marina.

About this creation

The front: glass doors, lamps, pavement; the usual stuff.

The beach section: small dock with a long chair, a barbecue, a life preserver, a crab and a ladder that gives access to the roof.

There is a shower under the stairs.

Inside: nothing special. Only a counter.

On the first floor, there's a "private terrace" with a small table, round benches and a flower pot.

A thing or two about the LDD building instructions: the program doesn't have all the newest elements, so I had to put some bricks besides the model. Refer to the pictures to place these pieces correctly (mainly on the barbecue and over the terrace's door). The surfboard isn't there either.

Deja ! I like the way you came with something new on the first roof. I.E. using the green curved palm to a sign. This set does have nice ALT in the box. Thumbs up if you manage to get out the "beach theme" (aha like the score from Thief, the Michael Mann movie).

Actually, the main model has an "inside space" (number of studs between the walls of a building, excluding the balcony) of 159 studs. My model has 140 studs. But if you're talking about dimensions, the beach house is 16 studs deep, 14 studs wide (excluding the exceeding roof bricks) and 16 bricks high. My marina is 10 studs deep, 20 studs wide and 15 bricks high excluding the sign, 17 & 2/3 including it. Honestly, the set is pretty small. They seem to put as much bricks in the house as in the details. Due to this, it gets pretty tricky to build great alternates out of it. Still, I'm glad of what I've came up with.
