Tabaris, a New Beginning
After the farewell to an old friend, a new beginning began rising up....
About this creation
Hello Fellow people of the mocpages! It is I, Tabaris CarpeNocte and today, I present you my new beginning! This is Tabaris'fifth version annd he's back, better then ever before!

Name: Tabaris CarpeNocte
Species: Cyborg/Great Being
Nicknames:-
Personality: Same as ever, he has mine :P

Name: MoonFlower
Species: DemonTool
Nicknames: Lord of Shadows, bringer of fear,
Forms: Sword, Cannon, Scissors

I cannot say too much about Tabaris'bio, other then that he is now a cyborg because he had to be rebuild. He fired a powerfull weapon but the recoil of it was far too much for his body to handle. He broke many bones, damaged hir organs and his eyes were just blasted out of their sockets. Tabaris then underwent extensive surgery by Shalon and he was reborn into this newer, stronger and faster body...

Now onto the moc! Enjoy it please!

______Moc Features________

This body is a retake on Kanja Ryu's body. It's my own design of it, but some influences of his are still kept.

The legs are also the same on Tabaris, as on my version of Kanja Ryu. I changed much of the armor, but the frame's the same.

Tabaris has not been modelled after the Quarians from Mass Effect. Until it was pointed out to me, I didn't even know of their existence.

This version of Tabaris can also be considered as the start of a new building style for me. It'll be alot cleaner, more dynamic and the amount of pieces being used will be less in future mocs.

Upgrades for this moc are already planned, but very far from worked out... ;)

The Scissors mode has two other functions: A Boomerang and two very large blades. all 3 functions have gruesome effects on the opponent...

Anmyways, this was my new presentation of Tabaris! I hope y'all enjoyed it as much as I did.

Feel free to leave a comment below and please tell me if you think something could be or should be improved.

Cheers!

Quoting wilberto de Jong In my opinion, I think the general problem with your MOCs is that there's a lot going on. Maybe, if/when you upgrade him, try to go for more of a sleek, simple(r) and refined look, and see how that works out for you.
That is already what I intended to do with this moc xD His construction, weight and greebling have all been simplified so much compared to the previous version. His part-usage is alot less too. I'm working on beign a little cleaner in my styling, but that'll take time xD

=O Saw it on CBW. If looking at this MOC taught me anything, it was never to play with scissors. Now to build Moonflower scissor-modus...

Quoting Chicken Bond And just when I thought this MOC couldn't get any better. 'Tis sad to see the old Tabaris go, but just look at the glory that rises from his ashes! XD
Sometimes, starting completely anew can be a rather good decision! Even though I'm getting the feeling I'm being compared to a Fenix here ;)

Quoting Toa Likus Ah yes, well...for the head I'd add hair or tubing or maybe even a mic using a System antenna attached to a 1x1 w/ lampholder replacing one of the eyes. The sky's the limit on what you can do, and I'm a huge advocate of System/Bionicle fusions. Have fun with it!
Thanks very much for the advice! I did tubing as hair not too long before, so that probably won't be done. The mic and other addons are a rather interesting idea that is certainly worth trying out! Thanks in advance!

I'm getting a kind of thief vibe from this version of Tabaris. Very cool though!

Quoting Toa Likus What a great new MOC! It has an epic ninja vibe going on thanks to the robes. The proportions are fine to me and nothing really looks too big or too small. Against what everyone else is saying I'm not a big fan of the head. It just seems blank and uninteresting. Otherwise great! I can't wait to see more MOCs of this style!
Thank you for you kind words man, glad you like it! Do you happen to have any suggestions regarding the improvement of his head design? I personally feel I'm not too great at those at all, so I'd like to know what you would recommend ;)

Yesh. I like it. The head is definitely mah favorite... nope, saw the scissors. At least they look like scissors, but anyway, this gets you a great, big, large, fave.

I dig the leg design; thick and chunky, looking like wide-legged pantaloons. very martial-artsy. Premium dig; massive hedge shears!

Looks great! the color scheme is way cleaner then it was before. His head must be my favorite part. plain epic. But the legs look kinda weird...Maybe it's just me

Quoting Rennoc ~ I just love how this moc looks. The arms are simply amazing, you have a great custom head, and he has a cape. The only part that I think needs more detail are the feet. They look a bit small compared to the legs.
Thanks man! The feet are indeed some placeholders for now. I do have plans to upgrade them later on!
