Recently firefighters from four different departments rallied in font of (KNV)Station 2 to protest the long delay in awaiting new apparatus delivery. The delay is due to LEGO Pick A Brick orders stuck in customs or haven't been shipped yet. LEGO has only sent an apology letter stating please excuse the delay, we're working to fix the issue followed by offering a $10-20 discount which was never received via e-Mail to date. A total of 27 Fire Fighters/Paramedics were present with another 92 wanting to attend. Shortly after roll call for numbers a total of two axes and one hydrant wrench had been reported broken.
I like this. It is very funny and the ladder truck looks really good.
Try BRICKLINK. It is so much better than Pick a Brick. For ten years I have been ordering parts through BRICKLINK and I think that it beats the heck out of Pick a Brick. The selection is insanely better and the prices are better too.
So in protest of a delayed order, they broke two axes and 1 hydrant wrench. Real smart. Someone would get at least 2 weeks off without pay for that garbage for maliciously damaging department property. Instead of doing that, why not just park the truck that is going to be replaced and leave it there? Why break tools that you need in the suppression of fire?
Now, back to real world....that sucks about the issues with pick-a-brick. Customs can be a real pain to deal with. Hopefully, your order will arrive soon!
