The Ultimate Lego Supercar
This is a radio-controlled supercar I built. I first started it by making the detailed V8 engine. Then I decided that I want it to be fast but powerful so I created a two speed gearbox with an XL motor right in front of the engine. With that I installed the rear-wheel-drive suspension from the 8070 set under the engine. Then I built the front of the supercar which also has independent suspension. Last, I strengthened the frame and created a body which should make the car look fierce.
About this creation
The V8, rear suspension, and gearbox

The completed chassis

A closer look at my V8. (You can also see the gear lever on the top and the light switch on the top right)

The front view

A look at the rear

The hood and both doors open

Top view (I reused the side "V8" and fuel door stickers from the 8070 LEGO set and found that "LEGO TECHNIC"sticker.

The driver's side of the interior

In this bottom image, you can see:

  • The rear differential and suspension

  • The gearbox and XL Motor

  • An M motor (near the differential) to control first and second gear

I've put many hours into this to make it look perfect, and I think I did a pretty good job for a 13 year old.

I'm 13 and I can't do that... You should make tutorial for the chassis so I can make one with my big nitro monster technic set! I'd give you all credit. I'f you do, please make it an moc not a download.

Quoting Bob van Dijk Wow, it looks pretty good, but what are the gear ratios? And what's that ticking noise? It's a good car. Well done.
Thanks! First gear: 1:2.334 second gear: 1.667:1. The ticking noise is the only problem with this car. It happens because the gear lever sometimes moves by itself. causing the 16 tooth 6542 gear to scrape against the piece that the lever moves.

nice looking car with good functions, maybe the front suspension needs dropping a little to give the car a better stance, like the original 8070 set does, nice work keep it up.
