'O.K. Levens, all due respect, but just what are we doing in this dark storage cabin with these goofy stone tipped spears? Like seriously, this is why I'm not down there helping rescue my sis?'
'Maces Talia, they're ceremonial maces. And you know why you're not down there good and well. If the mission fails, you are the next in line for the throne. However if it does not, well let's just say, that's what we're doing in this chamber right now.'
'O.K. The torch is dimming mister, what gives?'
'I am going to need you to trust me here Talia. Can you do that?'
'Sure.' Not really...
'Eventually your sister will replace your father and become Empress of GAIA. I believe that you are best suited to be my replacement.'
Talia furrowed her brow in confusion, 'Uhm, really? What exactly is it that you do?'
Director Levens laughed, 'Well while you and your father get all the glory in space against the Draggone, I ensure that neither of the American or Asian blocks here on Earth steam roll and crush the European block! Pretty important I dare say! Seems everyone forgets that until the Draggone surfaced, Earth has been stuck in a 3 way cold war for several millenia-'
'Yes, yes,' Talia began rolling her eyes, 'and whichever side wins on Earth will inherit all of Earth's colonies and the entire galaxy, bla, bla, bla...'
'Parrington?'
'Take my hand.'
'I can't see sh-'
'BROADYEUR!'

Northern Scotland
The Brodgar Stones
Light shimmers as the gateway crosses a distance of countless light-years and thousands of years...
'What the-'
'Welcome to Scotland Talia, 3000 years before the birth of Christ.'
'What?'
'Come, we have a way to walk.'
'To where?'
'Orkney Temple of course, now hurry.'
'What gives Levens? Is this some kind of elaborate prank? Cos it's a darn good one!'
'Remember just asking me what it was I did Talia. Well this is the how of it. The Orkney Temple Complex we are about to enter is a nexus my dear. While the multitude of surrounding stone circles such as the one we arrived through are gateways that can lead to and from anywhere in the galaxy, the main Temple behind these walls allows passage across the Earth, to any time desired.'
'And I should warn you Talia, you are about to find out that humans have in fact been at war with the Draggone, or the Orcs as we once called them here on Earth, for over 140,000 years.'
If she wasn't so plainly seeing the obviously Neolithic structures about her, Talia wouldn't have believed a single thing her father's trusted old friend was saying. But somehow she knew everything the Director was saying was true. And the imagined possibilities that already assailed her were mind blowing...
Battlestars Galactica and Triton, Caprica orbit, Colonial Homeworlds.
Major Leda Ouriana, call sign Cougar, and Captain Tanya Roberts, call sign Yankee, depart Galactica en route to the Triton. Delaying her debriefing on Galactica, Tanya still finds her inter dimensional travel disturbing. How she will return to her home and her mission to rescue the Princess remains unclear. But at least she can take comfort with her new found friends...
Tanya: "Wicked little fighter they've got here, Cougar!"
Cougar: Maybe they'll let me borrow one sometime, too!"
Tanya: "So this Captain of yours, what's she like?"
Cougar: "Oh, you'll see. Quite the negotiator!"
Cougar (hushed voice): "There she is..."
Cougar: "Captain Dendauw, this is Captain Tanya Roberts, from Earth. She was the one piloting the unknown vessel that jumped in earlier today. The medical officer aboard Galactica confirms, she could possibly be from far into the future, and may not even be from our universe!"
Dendauw: "Fascinating! You know, this could be a great opportunity for both of us, to share information and technology. What do you think happened, how did you get here?"
Tanya: "I was on a covert rescue mission, Captain, went through some sort of vortex, and ended up here! I tracked the energy signatures from your ships, and found my way to Galactica. At first I thought it was an enemy ploy. They have used time travel before..."
Tanya: "I don't even have a clue how to find my way back to my own dimension! I'm not sure what I could possibly have to offer...?"
Dendauw: "We will commit our best people to help you find a way to return home. An advanced civilization such as yours must have a great deal to offer, things you may not even be aware of... Cougar, please show Captain Roberts our greatest technological advancement, she may be quite interested."
Cougar: "Yes, Sir!"
Cougar and Tanya enter a highly restricted area of the ship.
Tanya sees a strange glow emanating from the apparatus ahead of her.
Cougar: "Generations of our people have worked to perfect this system..."
Cougar: "It's the ultimate form of insurance against the loss of experienced personnel, and our best hope for survival..."
The mechanism slowly raised the apparatus from the chamber below.
Tanya: "What the frak is this?! What ARE you people?!?!
Cougar: "No one has to fear death, there is no death, you can live again, fight again! It's how we're winning the war..."
Cougar: "Wait, where are you going?"
Tanya: "I'm outta here!"
