New York Central No. 5200

About this creation

I had intended that my first steam locomotive MOC would be a large streamlined Hudson, which failed. The parts were used to create my 2-6-2 locomotive, whose parts remain on this locomotive. The locomotive is No. 5200, the very first Hudson created. It was ordered first by the New York Central in 1927 for improved passenger service. The NYC eventually rostered around 375 Hudsons, the most famous were the streamlined ones designed by Henry Dreyfuss to pull the Twentieth Century Limited. However, none, not one single NYC Hudson survived. But at my railroad museum, No. 5200 was secretly kept and now operates as it once had. About the MOC: I put flags at the head of the boiler to signal that it is in excursion service. I tried to make it as detailed as possible. It is too big for the turntable so I let it just sit on the turntable. This locomotive is my pride and joy.
Note: I have added another motor to the tender so it can run faster and smoother.

I love your train! It is one of the best ones I have seen. Don't worry about it being almost 12 wide, LEGO steam trains are often that wide, mine is. You did a much better job than me, especially on the pistons, they are amazing, they are no drought the hardest part to build on a train.
