About this creation
Feel free to skip pictures here, there a quite a few. Oh, but make sure to look at the end, there's a question for you there. ;)

No, I'm not becoming a sappy, romantic... I already am one :P The third of my love poem vigs. The previous ones can be found here: "True Love's Kiss" and "Waterfall of Love"

SNOW

A single flake begins to fall,
Soon snow will cover all

The world transforms gray to white
Under this dim cloudy light

The wind doth blow,
flakes to and fro

On the trees they do land,
in your hair and on my hand

A single flake it's self is grand
but melts away when it doth land

Flake upon flake,
A scene they make

Like the falling of new snow
Siently slowly our love doth grow

Pure and white the snow doth glisten
As Your face when I listen

With each and every step we take
Tracks in the snow we make

The path ahead pure and white
Awaits love's soft, warm light

ßGeorge Staplesß

"Back side" This vig really doesn't have a specific backside, but this is the least detailed side.

Top view

Detailed side :)

I had my doubts about this bridge and frozen stream, but now I think they look very nice.

I really wanted to give the bridge that old stone look, I used round tiles, and it came out fairly good.

After seeing the "Falling Water" vig as MOTD, I just had to have a iced waterfall.

Mr. Snowman built by the two love birds. ;)

The trees were hard for me to do. I'm not quite as adept at makeing vigs as my friend Fritz. I actually have to thank him, after seeing his vigs, it inspired me to make some.

I tried a layered branch technic with white and gray to give it a snowy look.

This was even harder to get right than the trees. The posing of the couple.

I wanted to make sure to capture that they are very close. Cuddling to um... stay warm... that it!

It is REALLY hard to get mini-figs to stand side by side, and look really close. I ended up going with the flex arm technic. It turned out good considering her hair isn't flexible.

I don't know if this picture or the last one shows it better, but I added their footsteps to give the snow a little more depth.

A couple of my favorite pictures

Playing with the focus on my camera.

Question! Did any one notice the owl? yes, it is in there, go back and look if you didn't find it. Well, I'll leave you with this, my favorite picture. Thanks for looking! There shall be more of these ;D

I know, the Modifications are endless, plus it has those same cool portal gears as the unimog, I think it could be the coolest technic set of all time!

Yes, it is about 100 times better than their unimog. I looked, and the motors are new "L" motors + a servo motor for steering. I am seriously considering dropping the $200 on it right now..

DUDE!! That is freakin' awesome! Ya know what tho, I'm looking at it, and it has some of the same technics that I have on my "black widow" project. I'm getting the video ready, but it should be done by the end of the week. I'm curious as to the motors on this, they look like m motors, but have a different housing. If they don't have any torque, this truck is useless. I REALLY want to buy it now.

Quoting Everyone
Thank you all for your kind words. They do mean a lot to me. I was very hesitant to post that first poem vig, but I am glad I did. I really hope to inspire and encourage everyone to do something that is a little out of their comfort zone. Try it, you might like it :)

Quoting David Alexander Smith It's the poor lonely snowman I feel sad for.
Yes, I debated weather or not to make 2 of them, but I think two would detract from the couple. He has the owl to keep him company ;)

Quoting Fritz K . This is absolutely fantastic, George! It's definitely one of your best vigs. Fist off, I can see you added every little detail that would be in real life, and put it in this vig. You're right, that bridge did turn out perfect. I also really Ike the waterfall, great work on it. The frozen water is awesome too. I really like that you added footsteps, that was a brilliant idea that I wouldn't have ever thought of. Your snowman is just great, so much detail in such a small model! I see you finally got your fig posing right, too. :) A most important part of the MOC, the poem, was amazing! You are truly a poet. I noticed you added that black border around the vig, that makes ot look so professional! All in all, this is an awesome vignette, and by the way, I found the owl. ;D
Thanks Fritz! I think this is my best by far too, and I am really pleased with how it came out. I've learned vig technics from the best ;) I'm really glad you like the poem.

Quoting Thomas Graafland Very good vig! I like the trees and the bridge. I think that maybe the river would look more like ice when the surface is smooth (with tiles or SNOT). The foot prints are very good. Yes, I spotted the owl, but only because you told to look for it. 5/5
Thanks. I hadn't thought of that idea for the ice, that would look better

Quoting MortalSwordsman . Lovely work George. You are proving that you are a very creative and all-round builder (and person). I love the slightly eerie feel to the trees. The bridge and waterfall are fantastic. I spotted the Owl :D but I won’t ruin it for everyone else.
