The Drivetrain

Basic Differential drive. NXT servo turns the 20t double bevel gear that turns the 28t differential.

NXT drive motor and NXT are located in back of sleeper cabin. This section at the top was left open for easy USB connection for downloading the program.

Steering System

The steering motor was hidden under the hood. It is hard to see withough taking anything apart.

The steering system is quite simple. It is like rack and pinion, but without the rack and the pinion.

Reminds me of Mad Max a bit, maybe it is just that it is missing the fenders? A nice truck, my attempts to make anything with the LEGO Mindstorms that I have have been failures. Nice that it is RC, would love to see it drive around! Nice job. --- Edit: Didn't see it at first, there is a video! Cool, now it just needs a trailer!

It looks rugged like a cross between a baja buggy and a semi truck.

Quoting MortalSwordsman . I like its rugged look and the mix of studs and smooth technic. Did you try front fenders? Love the rack and pinion steering that is not rack and pinion steering hahaha
Thanks, I tried putting them on but it made it look very strange.
