Medtec Ford F-450 Ambulance "reflective decals" UPDATE! Now with working lights
This is my brandnew Ford F-450 Medtec Ambulance "Harrison EMS" with reflective decals. All yellow and white stripes also the chevrons at the back are made with reflective foil. In real life it features a full LED lightning package, two Airhorns in the front bumper and many other nice stuff. I think it has a really nice colour scheme. This was the reason for me to build this Ambulance. The original Ambulance is stationed in Harrison/State of New York. I hope you like it very much and enjoy it. Thanks for watching. Have fun :) To see the working lights, scroll a bit down :)
About this creation

On the next picture you can see the yellow Aesculapian staff in the Star of Life. It's also made with reflective foil but missing on the night pictures. I added it after taking the night pics.

Here are the chevrons at the back of the Ambulance.

On the next three pictures you can see the reflective decals, stripes and chevrons. I know the pics are not the best but it's not easy to photograph the reflection effect in the dark. I hope you can see enough.

Today i had the idea to add working Lights. I used the old Lego Battery Pack with the lights on it. I put it into the inside of the Ambulance. Now the lights are real working. I think it's a simple idea with a great effect.

On this picture you can see the Lego Battery Pack with the lights. I placed it inside of the body.

Here is the original Ambulance. I don't own this picture, it's only as reference for the model

Thanks for watching and commenting :)

Quoting Noah Young Wow, this ambulance is absolutely stunning. I am a volunteer firefighter so I have seem my share of ambulances and let me say your model matchs the real things dead on. If I can make one suggestion though, what works for me is after you put the decals on, especially on the roof in your case, use and exacto knife and between the bricks... It looks as though the decal is part of the brick
Thank you really much mate. I'm really sorry for the late reply but was very busy because i was working on my newest creation. Nice idea with the decals. Never thought about it :) Thanks a lot man.

Quoting Ben C Cool Truck, How did you get the light box that lights the lights up?
Hey Ben, i hope i understood it right. First, thanks a lot for your kind comment. This is a original Lego battery box. Inside of the box is a 9V battery. Added the lights and built the box in the back of the ambulance. There was enough space for the box. Than fixed it and used a 1x2 brick for the on off switch. Then i covered the brick with a 2x2 flat tile which you can see sticking out a bit of the roof. I hope you understand well how i've done this.

Quoting Loek Marcus Wait - you've sended this to the Harrison EMS chief and it got lost? How's that possible? It is very bad, this thing is so awesome. Hope your new version will be the same! :-)
Yes, i've sent it to him. He saw it and wanted it. He sent me also some really nice gifts and they received. It's such a shame for me that my Ambu got lost. But i'm able to rebuild it with new parts. Still have all files of the decals on my computer. So it's not a big problem. But it's really shameful for our postal service. I dont send anything again with it.

Hey Joe. Nice to meet you. I'm really proud and happy about that you like your Brick built Unit from me so much. I'm a Lego builder from Germany and this is my only model of the Harrison EMS. I searched in the web for some new designs and choosed yours. I like the design and the colours of your rigs very much. They are really cool. But actually it's not possible to build a second Unit because i have not enough parts for it. If you really want, i could send you this model which i have. Please contact me via E-mail. I sent a copy of this reply to your Harrison E-mail adress.

Hey Matt, this is a incredible coincidence! Really cool to have one from the town where i build a unit from. It's great that you like this replica of the Harrison Ambulance. I love the design of it. Your fire trucks have a really nice colour scheme. When i saw one of them, i thought about building one. So it's possible, that i build one of your Harrison Engines soon. Usually i build NYC rigs. Quoting Brick Valley This is really nice! Using the foil to your advantage ;) The colour scheme is very nice and you've put nearly every detail and decal from the photo into your work. Great job! Just 2 questions... Do you copy and paste photos into word or something and print them off? How did you do the chevrons?
Thank you very much Brick Valley. Sometimes i copy and paste some decals (especially badges etc) from a Photo into paint. This is the program what i use for my decals. But 90 % of the decals are selfmade/-written with using a photo as reference. If they are finished i print them off and put it onto my models with a glue stick. The chevrons are self cutted stripes of the reflective foil. It's really easy to do it. You need only a sharp scalpel and a ruler.
