This is my entry for the Port Augustine Inhabitants contest.
About this creation
This is La vengeance. She's a 20 gun, 6th rate frigate with 3 masts and 11 sails. She carries 14 heavy guns on her lower deck, 4 heavy guns and 2 light guns on her upper deck. She is built on 7 hull sections and measures 75cm long and 55cm tall, making her the largest ship i have ever built on hull sections. She is also the 2nd most heavily armed ship I have built.
After building quite a few British ships (HMS Intrepid, HMS Majestic, HMS Swift) I decided to build a french ship for the contest, to match the group's french theme. It was orignally going to be a 2 decker, but with 2 other ships currently under construction, i realised that it would not be a good idea, since it would just consume pieces. Instead, I based the design on a typical 18th century frigate, with a single gundeck, though she still has quite alot of firepower.
But anyway, here are the pictures...
Thanks for looking.

Looks excellent. I like the detailing in the captains cabin and the yellow rail things around the Jibboom. Lovely all over working! |

This is a Huge Major improvement for you,
i really like most of the design,
(exept for the low railing)
trust me, i got experience at makeing to low railings, and it kinda ruins the ship alot,
try to make it studless, that would help alot,
and but another color in between the red and white,
just about a plate, in black or yellow, or maybe blue, blue is good i think.
Nice job keep it up |

I like what you did on the bow with the yellow plates, simple but effective! And a hooray for interiors, hooray! The stern is a bit bare though... Well done! |
