I m a real animal lover, but, I can t help but to imagine how incredible these could look as robots! with lights maybe? hoses, I d love you try ms! ever seen nightmare on elm street 4? where the guy fuses with his motorcycle? you d do a super job on a project like that, I m sure of it! as it is, it s a very nice sculpting of a black bull! bravo! |

A great piece of sculpture in Lego. The combination of articulated joints & a realistic shape is a technical triumph. The photos look great and black Lego is always hard to photograph. |

My first thought was Picasso, too. No need to apologise for the picture quality (which is still very good), with a fascinating creation like this, nobody will care about the background. Excellent work, Joe. |

Hi Joe. You're too kind. Looking at the attention, not that many seem to be able to appreciate my models as you do. But anyway, I do not want to change subject here. We could continue our talk perhaps through mail instead. Now the focus should go back on your bull. Still not sure what to think of it; the dangly bits are a bit confusing and disturbing imho. Cool I will email you. I am sorry they disturb you so much haha ;). I was trying to recreate the tufts of hair rather than his ‘dangly bits’. But the more I look at them now the worse they get. I might use this bull in a future moc so I will try some modifications first. I would also like to make it more dynamic, like the red one.

I think it is a great creation. The mixed reaction may be beacause it is based on a real animal and not a man-made construction. Using bricks results in a Picasoesque appearacnce which is not to everyone's taste. I am not a fan of much modern art, but I like this! |

Literary speechless, as in I don't know what to say... Quite an unusual creation; don't know if I love it or hate it. Maybe it just has to grow on me. Different than you I often start to appreciate creations more over time, and therefore do not take mine apart that fast. Sometimes this also gives me the opportunity to improve things. Hi Nathanael, what an intriguing comment :D. I am always flattered when you give me a compliment (coming from you one of the best builders on the planet) and in this case I appreciate your honesty. I too have a bit of a love/hate relationship with this creation. Sometimes I like it and other times I don’t. Thank you for taking the time to look at this creation and reading the comments below. Honesty is the policy and I am always delighted to hear from you. |

I will retry. “Dynamic” Thank you so much :D. @ Brody – I will check out those cartoons, thanks :D. Jozsef – Hahahaha great comment thanks mate :D. |

That is a very interesting build!! It's hard to catch the strength, the massive silhouette of a bull: You did very well!! I would just give one stud more to the 4 legs: they look maybe too short to balance the body. The pic with the run is great: your builds are really dynamics. |

This is great work! Very nice proportions and details. I have thought about doing a bull and was inspired by the classic Bugs Bunny Warner Brothers cartoon “Bully for Bugs” and the classic Disney production of “Ferdinand the Bull”. Your Bull looks very similar and is probably better than what I could have done anyways. A really like it and keep up the great work. |

Very cool mate! Torro torro! I think I prefer the Red Bull, not exactly sure why, maybe because it's cuter. Sometimes I get frustrated when I cannot get the result I'm looking for and then I remember LEGO has limitations and you can only do the best that the LEGO pieces will allow, I think you've done a great job! But his dangly bits are a bit too far forward lol Ole!
Hahahaha. If you look closely he has another set of dangly bits a bit further back ;)

Nifty bull!I like how you did the eyes.Hope to see more animals from you!I always wonder, where do you get an ideas and inspiration for building animals or figures. In my case,I can't think far from cars and trucks though.
What a great question. My car builds are all consuming – they take over my life, so sometimes I need a break from building them. I also like to build outside of my comfort zone. I am very interested in nature and in particular the anatomy of humans (and animals), I guess the inspiration comes from there. The imagery of the superhero world is also very inspirational, and is linked to the anatomy thing (muscles etc) – so I try to recreate iconic images of my fav heroes (I don’t read comics I just love the pictures ;)). I am also a martial artist so knowing human anatomy can be very helpful. I have so many ideas for future mocs (animals, humans and cars) but very little time to build. So these quick builds are perfect. Try something different and see what happens. Thanks and good luck Buddy :D |
