The Lego Twp Fire Department turned 10 years old on July 1, 2012. To celebrate, the LTFD held a parade on July 8, 2012 and invited departments in the Lego Metro Fire District Mutual Aid Association as well as members in the Emergency Bricks community. Nearly 200 pieces of fire apparatus attended the parade, which may be the largest known gathering of Lego fire apparatus. Please enjoy the pictures as we re-live the parade.

wow lots of pics how long did it take you to upload
Not too long, to be honest. To shoot the parade itself was close to 4-5 hours. |

Awesome! I wish i was there. I noticed in one of the pics that you have a 7942 set following Fire Signal1, what do you use it for Bob?
Unofficially, for the shops....apparatus and equipment maintenance. |

Wow! This must be one of my favourite MOCs of all time! How did you get everyone's trucks? Please reply!
I put a message out to the members of my mutual aid association and on Emergency Bricks. I said if anyone was interested, here's my address. Next thing I know, I'm up to my armpits with apparatus. :) |

That is alot of vehicles, nice work!!! I really liked the pink guys, its my fav colour. I also liked the green truck right at the end, it was a good mix of colours! You should be proud!!!
The pink truck was an idea one of the members of the LMFD had as a way to promote breast cancer awareness. He had the truck made and sent it out to Lego FD's interested in receiving it, taking pictures of their fleet with it, posting it to their website, and then sending it on tour to the next Lego FD interested. This is the 2nd trip this truck made to Lego Twp. and I was very happy to have them back. :) |
