The first thing I changed in comparison to other jeeps was using larger wheels and tyres, to improve traction and ground clearance. Secondly, I minimized the models weight (far under 2 kg) to keep it always stable. Thirdly, I geared it less down to keep a higher speed. This was sometimes not nice, because the MOC missed its torque then.
The largest change is the use of the UNIMOG spring/suspension system. Instead of one bar linkage above the suspension, I have chosen for 2 bars (links) on the left and right of the MOC, to keep it more stable (the Unimog was not very stable).
The pendular suspension is showed on this photo.
The jeep has a small body, compared to its wheels. This concept is working very well while off-roading.
The rear axle is built very rigid, to prevent slipping the gears.
The winch. It powered via a driving ring, located at the back but guided to the front. Watch the video to see its features...
Again the pendular suspension. The gears you see are from the steering: the m-motor is located above the front axle, just before the XL motor. This guarantees a lot of weight in the front and also good climbing capabilities.
