Seeing as many potential Talian enemies are overseas, the government has seen the need to increase the production of amphibious vehicles. Recently, the LAV-25 was pushed into service, and now a heavily armored variant has been included in the lineup. This variant features a reactive armor that is highly resistant to ballistics and explosives, and can be used to great effect in an urban environment given it's immunity to potential RPG attacks as well as its high effectiveness against infantry. Next in the lineup is the amphibious HAAV-34 mobile Howitzer. It is in essence an extended version of the LAV-25, but it can carry 12 men as opposed to the LAV-25's six, and it has been strengthened to feature a mounted M777 Howitzer artillery cannon. As opposed to heavy artillery that is difficult to position on the battlefield, the M777 is very light, and Its utility is only increased by the mobile platform on which it is placed.

You know, maybe I could get used to having the turret being lower than the hull (I still don't like how long it is, but whatever). Anyway, it's a well built vehicle at least from a pure Lego design point of view, so good job on that model as well.

Quoting Matthew McCall While I love the first vehicle, I'm going to be honest with you, I don't really like the second vehicle. It seems, well, too long, and it looks strange to have the howitzer (which does look awesome by the way) in a "pit". Also, I'm pretty sure you don't want to mix howitzers with APCs, as neither ability really works with the other and would basically result in crippling the functionality of both. Sorry about that, perhaps it would be better to make it into two seperate vehicles?
While the howitzer vehicle is modeled after a real design which holds the gun in a "lowered" position, I don't believe the real one serves as an APC, so in retrospect, I agree with you, thank you for your comment.
