About this creation
The provinces of Lenfald and Loreos have been working together to eradicate the outlaws. Hundreds of soldiers have been deployed to the south to fight the brigands and beasts that have terrorized the beautiful provinces for years. All seemed to be going well, and the outlaws were being beaten back. Nobody expected much resistance from the disorganized and demoralized outlaws, let alone an organized retaliation! Nevertheless, a large group of brigands is now attacking an undergarrisoned Lenfel castle!
So, this is my biggest build yet. It can be broken into four 32x32 components for ease of transport (I build inside and photograph outside, so moving something this size needed to be a consideration). This is my favorite creation of mine so far. It was fun to build, and I got to try out some new stuff on it.

This is a shot of the outlaw army attacking the gate. There are three Lenfel soldiers on the ground defending it, as well as an archer behind the hoardings. Things to note: The rockwork by the door is my first SNOT rock, and the hoardings have two slots that open up for the archer to fire out of.

Here are the steadfast soldiers, valiently defending their homeland. For great Lenfald!

This is a better look at the outlaw army. I really enjoyed creating those minifigures! I hope that they each look unique and ragtag enough.

Here is the archer.

It looks like at least one of the Lenfel arrows has struck truly!

The Outlaw archers.

A view of the inside of the castle. Not much to see here.

An overview. Sculpting the ground was fun.

This is how I did the river. It's a variation of Mark Eickson's water technique, but with trans clear plates rather than blue bricks.

And of course, knowing me, I have to have a new version of a round roof in almost every MOC. I quite like this one.
Thanks for viewing!

Wow, this is awesome! I like how the castle is offset from the build so theres a lot of room to add more landscape which is great! I have just started to delve into Castle building and have put up a couple of them on here and seeing your stuff is very inspiring! 5/5 -J. |

This is excellent. The landscape, the castle, they all look great but what really caught my attention was that clever water technique which looks very very good. Great done! |

I can but start to imagine the effort that went into this, the landscape is spectacular, with the different levels and the rocks showing between them. The keep is wonderful as well. A marvelous MOC, sir! |

Wow, that's really cool! I love the cleanness of the whole build, and the way the wall is actually realistically thick. I would like to see a bit more "life" in the posing of the figs though. Great work! |

Nice landscape. Although, I would suggest a more diverse color range. It makes the build more eye-pleasing. But maybe you weren't planning on that approach. That's just my thoughts.

Have you ever seen pictures of Ireland? With that amazing stretch of endless green? That's what I was going for. I do agree that, in many cases, more colors in the landscape can be better. |

Very nice! For the river, maybe trying putting a bunch of blue bricks or go smaller and use blue studs so you get more of a blue than clear effect, but overall very nicely done!
Last I checked, water is clear. Large bodies of water can look blue, but small streams or rivers don't. |

...I think that some grass stalks could help break up some of the less rocky areas.
I tried adding some, but I thought it made it look trashy and cluttered. Thanks for the nice comment! |

Awesome! The river's cool, and the landscaping's quite nice. I really like the tree, but I think that some grass stalks could help break up some of the less rocky areas. The castle's really cool, and your roofwork is as excellent as ever. Great work! |
