Normandy SR2
Mass Effect Normandy SSV SR-2 This is from Ben Fellowes's SSV Normandy SR2-A (MkII)Instructions.
About this creation
I've decided to build the Cerberus version. Total cost is $320ish, though I've spent more as I started the project with an early version of the design. I have since upgraded to the current version 2.3. Thank You Ben!

all four engines do move for FTL mode and are quite sturdy. I did add a black 1x2 plate to the wing structure to keep the Black engines from wobbling in their extended position. I also added a black 1x2 plate to the bracket structure at the back of each engine to keep the wall plates from squeezing together.

The right wing has been retracted for FTL travel. The left wing has been left in normal flight mode for comparison.

Here is the stand with the Cerberus logo. It does have the shuttle bay door attached.

This is the interior of the ship. Joker's cockpit area complete with EDI. The Galaxy Map has also been recreated for Shepard.

This is the upper hull that opens to allow access to the ship's interior. the hinges are at the aft end of the the hull.

These are the Thanix Cannon. They will retract into the underside of the hull.

Next part that I completed were the vertical stabilizers (tail fins).

I'll post more pictures as I work on the main hull.

Quoting Phil Corrado Oh I see now. And when I get the pieces off of bricklinks does it matter which country I start on for finding the pieces?
No, but I try to keep to the US for shipping reasons (cost and delivery time). Look for stores with no minimum purchase first, then look for some of the oddball pieces, then try and get the bulk orders. I had multiple stores open in different tabs and tried to maximize my orders.

Quoting Phil Corrado Yea I actually just got the instructions today and I'm planning on building the Alliance Normandy soon. Is there any way you can show me or tell me what pieces you ordered to make your Normandy? It would be greatly appreciated.
For the Part list, I saved the building instruction to .html (web based). Then I copied the part list to a word doc. That gave me the parts picture, part #, quantity and a description of the part. Then you can print it out and mark off the pieces as you purchase them. I suggest getting a few extras of the small parts (I've lost one or two). Don't forget to get a few extra (6) black plate 1x2 (302326) for the engines.

I found all the brick on bricklinks. I found US sellers with the more difficult pieces to find and then worked from there. Ended up having 20 or so orders in the mail.
