Mech Factory Robo - ATLAS 001

This is my entry for Boyzwiththemosttoyz' (Chris Roach) Mech Factory Contest. It is called ATLAS 001, a powerful infantry mech. With it's wrist-mounted lasers and long-range shoulder rockets, if in the right hands, it makes for a very fearsome and dependable ally.
About this creation


This is the full mech. I used metallic grey, bright blue, and translucent orange parts, making up the main frame, armor, and energy bits respectively.








He maintains most of the poseability of the original frame, and the losses come from the use of the "energy tubes".






The chest opens up, as shown below.








The front of the head...






The back of the head.






The tubes connect to the back, and then to the arms and legs..."powering them up".






The wrist-mounted laser...the orange bits are just for effect - this is what the shot would look like when fired.

I think the colourscheme works well, the tubes and wrist lasers are nice details and you've posed him well. Score = 8

7/10 I like the armor design but the tubes seem to set the moc back a bit. I agree that more armor could have been added
