Little Timmy lost his kite...Again.
About this creation
Mr. Xenomurphy's Superhero Contest!
Category 1.2 Fail
What if a superhero fails to save the day? Build a vig (min 8 x 8, max 16 x 16) and show us a hero trying to avoid a catastrophe, fighting a villain or nature itself … and failing horribly. Dark humor is appreciated. A reasonable(!) overhang is allowed, like a plant, arm, leg, etc.
Always a nice guy, especially around children, Superman was on his last friggin' nerve with little Timmy Thompson.

This was the fifth time today that his precious kite "got away from him". Superman was suspicious that perhaps Timmy's mom may have had ulterior motives...

Unfortunately for the citizens of Smallville, the distraction will soon prove to be disastrous...

4th Wall
Okay, shocking, right?! No Vipers, no Cylons?! Anyway, I went with the Forced Perspective. Even the knots on the kite string are tied closer together the farther they are from the kite. Some mountains, some snow, a little city, all on a 16X16 mosaic plate. I think I'm cool with the overhang, just some of the flames are out over the edge.
I purchased my first Superhero set today! This is also my first contest entry, and my first 4th Wall Commentary. What a day!
Thanks to Mr. X and the Judges. I hope this made you laugh!
