I was tossing up building a miltary fighter plane inspired hot rod with teeth, canopy and snow camo. After several attempts, I couldn't get the snow camo the way I liked it, so I instead opted for a 2-tone body and black details (Roof and engine fairings).
I had no clue how to do the canopy and went on a hunt for inspiration. I stumbled upon Lino M's Sgt. Ballbreaker, and used a slightly different version of his canopy.
About this creation
Hussar! I'm back after almost 6 months off the 'pages. I've been really busy with school, so I've had to sacrifice playing with the ol' ABS for a while. But I'm on holidays at the moment, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to make a little hot rod and catch up on all of your creations!
As usual, here's a bunch of general views for your eye to browse.
The main attraction: THE ENGINE!
It's a beastly 4 cylinder :') It has a tiny exhaust manifold, radiator, and ITBs!
Since this is fighter-plane inspired, I had to make a canopy. Brace yourselves purists!
Here are some view of the "cockpit". I'd give it a rating of cramped/10.
And yes, the fuel tank is in the shape of a bomb. I can see this being a bit of a risky place to put it, in all honesty.
Le excellento sizo comparo. As you can see, I've widened the diffusor on my yellow concept car. It's now 16 wide!
And finally, a finishing photo. Bucket-inspired bench seat, engine block and fuel tank.
