This is one of my first larger mocs in a while. The idea came up with me playing crysis, where NK is the main enemy in the first half of the game. Anyway, a little backstory.
About this creation
In 2014 North Korea nationalized all foreign assets, thus generating billions of dollars. The leader of NK began a heavy reformation campaign, making it one of the strongest economy's of Asia in less than 2 years. However it stayed a dictatorship.
Meanwhile the world has to do with oil shortages, thus causing even more tension between countries. In the winter of 2016 North Korean troops, with the aid of Chinese military equipment, invaded it's neighboor. South Korea's capital was overwhelmed but they did not surrender.
Now, the two armies stand in front of each other in the ravage of the once beautiful capital of Seoul.
The mighty K2 tank, by 2017 it was still one of the most advanced battle tanks in the world.
A K1 tank, the backbone of the South Korean army
When the bombs fell in 2016, it caused mass casualties amongst civilians
As said, the energy crisis caused governments to seek alternatives. Like streetlights with solar panels
On top of the building Chinese/NK troops ambush the advancing SK troops
NK troops hiding behind a wrecked bus
Interior of the building, it once was a jewellery
You see what I see?
Another streetview (I really like those ;)
Interior building 2
A NK sentry
The remaining rooftops of Seoul proved to be excellent sniper spots
I used non-Lego for this creation, whatever you have to say about that please keep it for yourself. I wanted to use it, so I did. I'm not forcing anyone to use it too.
Very, interesting. I would love for your voice to be heard in the International Fan of Lego Debate club, where we discuss things like a North Korean invasion, though the chances of one actually managing to get to the southern coast of the peninsula is very, very low. Nice MOC, though. 5/5
