The front is just like my 5867 alternative that is coming soon except I made mine before you posted this!!

Unfortunately there is no success formula, but I'll try to explain my reasoning. First there is the surprise or wow factor; something that I wouldn't expect could be built with the pieces, and still looks great and iconic. To be able to achieve this, often parts are used in a creative way at completely different places. Second, bigger generally speaking is better; the more parts are used from the set, the more impressive the build is. However this should not be forced. Last, if the alternative also adds extra, realistic and relevant functionality this would be the icing on the cake.

And what exactly is that little extra, master?

Aesthetics: 7, neatness: 8, parts usage: 7, idea, 7, other: 7. Total 36/50. It's a tricky set, I admit, and in that respect you created a pretty decent alternate from it. It just lacks this little extra that makes it from a good model to a great model.

Ça n'a pas l'air évident de faire des beaux modèles alternatifs avec ce set mais tu as fait du bon travail. Tu as bien utilisé les couleurs disponibles dans ce set et la voiture a un air très sportif. J'aime bien :)
