Before the end of the Clone Wars, Stewjon was a backwater planet, its only claim to fame being the homeworld of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi.
During the Dark Times however that all changed. Stewjon became the base of Harash Soru's Jedi Order during the rise and fall of Darth Levid. After that it remained the secret base of the Jedi as they fought alongside the Rebellion against Palpatine's Empire.
Following the end of the Galactic Civil War Stewjon enjoyed some peace, becoming home to a small Jedi outpost reporting to Soru's Order.
Then ROvaniss came, and in one fell swoop, that peace was shattered.
Harash Soru pushed the flap of his tent aside and walked out into the warm morning Sun. He stretched, preparing himself for the coming battle, before heading over to his fellow Jedi.
Morton: "Good morning Master Soru."
Harash Soru: "Morton, Rashak. It seems I have overslept."
Rashak Flo: "Only a little Hara. We have not been up long."
Harash Soru: "Is everything set?"
Rashak Flo: "Yes. We march out in two hours."
Harash Soru: "Good. Now, if you two will excuse me a moment."
Hara hurried over to his daughter who was walking quietly through the camp.
Harash Soru: "Rachel. How are you feeling?"
Rachel Soru: "I'm ready dad, I feel at peace."
Hara smiled at his daughter. Since Michael's fall she had become quiet, her constant sense of humour retreating slightly. Recently Hara had decided that his daughter had more than proven herself and had promoted her to Jedi Knight.
Harash Soru: "Good. Are you ready to face Michael?"
Rachel sighed and nodded.
Rachel Soru: "If he is here and I come across him then I will do what I have to."
Harash Soru: "As will I."
A few hours later two armies come together. From afar they do not look like much, a group of no more than 20 figures on each side. Up close however, it was easy to tell that these men and women had more power than entire fleets combined.
Hara scanned the army of Sith, a feeling of disappointment settling in his stomach when he saw that his son was not there.
With a sigh he stepped forward and reached out to the minds of his fellow Jedi. The skill of Battle Meditation was not one that Hara understood. However he could still let his army know that he fought with them, and that in itself was inspiration enough for most Jedi.
WIth the only sound coming from the gentle hum of the many lightsabers the two sides charged each other, clashing together with an explosion of power.
Hara ran forward, dodging an attack by an Echani woman before spinning round and slashing her across the back.
He spun around again in time to parry a strike from an elderly Kel Dor, grunting slightly with the odd angle he had forced his body into.
The Kel Dor seized the momentary advantage and pressed his attack, however he could not break past Hara's lightsaber.
In a desparate attempt the Kel Dor lunged at Hara, leaving his neck undefended. Hara dodged the attack before beheading the Kel Dor in a swift move.
Hara barely had time to recover before he was struck in the back by a weak jolt of lightning a voice called out to him.
Voice: "Time to die Jedi!"
Hara spun around to see a beautiful woman with a double-bladed lightsaber charging him.
Harash Soru: "You have power girl, but it will be enough."
Darth Alinta: "Haha! You don't know me Soru! I am Darth Alinta, my power comes from the shadows!"
Hara parried her attacks and sighed.
Harash Soru: "Oh an assassin. Tell me, isn't your goal to remain hidden? You don't seem to be doing a very good job."
Darth Alinta: "Shut up! I am as soft as a shadow, as deadly as a Nexu! I will kill you!"
Alinta spun her blade in a series of complex spins, the blades slamming against Hara's lightsabers again and again. However, she could not break through the impenetrable wall of defence that Hara's blade created.
Out of frustration Alinta lunged at Hara. Hara saw an opening, slinding past Alinta before reversing his grip on his lightsaber and plunging it into the Sith's chest.
Alinta gasped and fell to the floor, laying completely still.
Hara spun around to see a mountain of a man charging towards him. Standing about two feet high with bulging muscles and a bald head the Sith charged at Hara with all the fury that the Dark Side had to offer.
Hara barely had time to fall into the Soresu form, re-establishing his wall of defence as the Sith's blade slammed against his own.
Darth Gerret: "You killed her! You will now pay for your crimes! I Darth Gerret, will destroy you Soru!"
Gerret, driven to a frezied rage at the death of his lover, ploughed into Hara, forcing the Jedi Master back despite Hara's skill with the lightsaber.
Gerret reached out with the Force and blasted Hara with lightning. The power behind the attack surprised Hara, forcing him to take several more steps backwards. For the first time in a long time Hara began to doubt his ability to hold his own in a fight.
Suddenly a Zabrack Sith ran towards Gerret.
Darth Gerret: "Leave him Yulick! He's mine!"
Darth Yulick: "We have to go Gerret! The Jedi have killed to many of our brothers!"
Darth Gerret: "Sith do not retreat!"
Darth Yulick: "Fine! Stay here and die! The rest of us are leaving!"
Darth Gerret glared at Hara before turning and following Yulick. Hara let out a slow breath of air as the Sith Lord disappeared into the distance.
Back at the camp the Jedi spend a moment to remember their dead.
Rade Danar: "The first victory of the Hidden War goes to the Jedi!"
Morton: "Of the twenty Jedi that came here only thirteen of us will return home. We killed nine Sith oursleves. This is not a victory."
Harash Soru: "No, and now the full wrath of the Sith will decend upon us all."
-- Author's Note --
Hey everyone, hope you're enjoying the series so far.
Just so you know from now on the series will be split into three separate comics as I did with The Lengend of Harash Soru....
Bloodlines will continue to be the main story, focusing around the Soru family. All the major events and deaths will take place in this comic.
Saviours will tell the Story of members of the Jedi Order. Everyone will have at least one major role in this side comic. Harash Soru will only have small appearances in these comics.
Conquest is the opposite to saviours as it will focus on the Sith and their attempts to destroy the Jedi.
As with the Legend of Harash Soru the two side comics are still important as they will be referenced in Bloodlines.
I will make it clear which comic comes before what you are reading so that you do not miss anything important.
As always I hope you liked it and don't forget to keep reading and commenting :D
Sweet episode Harry! Great battle scenes and could I have a male human Jedi named Zadok Chain with a green lightsaber and throw whatever else you want to put on him. If you can't make that happen that's fine. Oh yeah, one more thing, if you make him, could he be in Saviors?
Nice idea to divide it up into 2 more chapters :) This is a nice chapter, but I feel it be better to give more personality and backstory to the sith, which I'm sure you'll do with these new chapters :)
