About this creation

So being inspired by one of Shannon Oceans recent mechs www.flickr.com/photos/10104652@N06/7446358780/in/photostream I decided to try a smaller then fig scale mech with some design similarities to the battletech universe.

I chose to base my frame on the ShadowCat (an underated small one) www.jadefalconclan.com/wiki/index.php?title=Shadow_Cat and then got a little creative, but I don't think I strayed too far from the basic design (seeing as the loadouts for this frame seem to be plentiful).

And I can see that this was based upon my favourite BattleMech, the Shadow Cat, which automatically renders this as a great mech in my books!

This looks awesome for the scale, and I love the Shadow Cat mech upon which this was based. A great alteration on the design. I like your decals, they help with the look while not overwhelming.

Thanks for the positive feedback on this one guys, probably the first time I've tried to address your comments individually, usually just don't have the time. If anyone has any suggestions for improvements let em fly, I am not above taking a little CC or suggestions. Anyway, appreciate all those that stopped by to take a look - thanks again.

Quoting ariklego ...The Director! Nice! I typically prefer minifig scale for everything except large-scale warships (anything bigger than a fighter or small transport, essentially), but I have to say this looks really good in its present scale. Excellent work all around.
I usually stick to fig scale as well - don't seem to do too well at micro, but this mid scale seemed to work out alright on this one.

Quoting LukeClarenceVan The Revanchist Very impressive mech, I like how it's big enough to be detailed yet small enough that it can be taken in at a look. Great work!
Thanks, the pieces I decided to use for details really lend themselves to this scale.

Quoting Eric Landreneau Brill! What did you use for the knee joint that can take all that weight?
Glad you like it, the knees are locked solid with and axel at a 90 degree angle and any poseability comes from the hips and ankles and still the main torso is a little tippy. Shelf model material, playability is regrettably lacking.
