Hey Mate where you been? I had a question in this years MOCathalon which instantly reminded me of the lighting in this build. I referenced a more recent MOC that has graced the pages for showing off lighting. Keen on seeing more of your marvellous creations to marvel at! Don't forget us haha! ~Thoy |

Really cool build mate and yes, lighting can be a pain where it doesn't shine (pun intended). Although these pics look quite good, a tip for getting really crisp focus if to set your camera to manual focus (if possible) and use normal lighting to set the focus. The overall effect here is brilliant and I love the detail of using two colours for the cave walls, gives off that luminiscity effect. Well done! When can we see more? ~Thoy |

Quoting Leda Kat =^..^=
BEAUTIFUL lighting, and thanks for the nod :) Torches are my best friend, sometimes I use so many of them to light a scene I wish I had an extra few hands. Keep doing more of this please! Again, beautiful work. I know how you feel, it does take a long time to photograph light when you're a perfectionist. This simple scene: http://www.mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=291227&id=/user_images/38504/1318566423m took me five evenings of photo shoots and approx 500 photos till I had it just right.
Thanks so much Leda for your kind words of encouragement! :) Ever since discovering your work in last years MocOlympics, i've been a huge fan of your lighting and presentation - it's just so thoughtful and deliberate and always looks stunning. It's something i've really tried to emulate this year. I still feel like a novice with lighting and setups though! Thanks for the tip with the torches too, i might have to invest in a few more for future shoots. ;)

The photography and lighting really do make this great. The mood is very well set, so your time was well spent. I like how this works with the turtle island MOC to make a story. |
