I have been long fascinated by LEGO built sculptures. The endless protean creations are just incredible. Once again, while taking a break from my series of "Famous Paintings and Photographs," I wanted to try my hand at something different. Nothing too fancy, the result was a build on the fruit that my brother absolutely hates: Cherries! The reason behind his distaste for the fruit is beyond my comprehension. Enjoy!
About this creation
Here is an additional photo of another fruit that I created. I really didn't like the way it turned out.
Watermelon

To be honest I think both of those turned out great. Sometimes making things huge doesn't change the overall image. P.S. I really like how you turned the green pieces in cherries, doesn't seem significant haha but I believe it's things like that that sets some MOC's apart from most. |

How can your brother not like cherries ? Still, my son doesn't like strawberries - some people are just plain odd ;-)
Indeed. ;)

The cherries are great, but it seems that you need a lot of patience for the green 1x1 pieces. How many times did they collapse :P ?
Thanks Buurli! They were the hardest parts to deal with. Being very weak and wobbly, they toppled over many times. But when I got them to stay there, it wouldn't fall unless I bumped it.

Some great sculptures. The "twisted" look of the cherry stems is very nice. I like the bite out of the watermelon. |

Only if you like to eat plastic! ;)
Quoting Brody Allen I really like the way you atlernated the pieces on the steam to give it a round apperance. Well done.
Thanks. Your comment is much appreciated. That section was the most difficult part to get right. It was extremely weak which made it difficult to keep intact.
Quoting DeTomaso Pantera Excellent work! I love watermelons, I'm not too keen on cherries but I love both of these creations, very well done LB Snr. you should be proud of the watermelon it's great! Now wave the cherries in front of your brother lol
What? You don't like it either? Haha, since his birthday is coming up, I could give the cherries to him! It would save $$. ;)
