New Sukhoi SU 37
About this creation
My new desert camo SU-37. Built as a replacement for my now dismantled black SU-37. I know it looks pretty rough, but i don't have much patience with airplanes.
I think i came pretty close with the colors and shape though.

Top view.

Side view.

Front view.

Rear view.

Here is the air brake. I did include that detail!

A close-up of the engines. No thrust vector details, i know..

A look at the belly of the plane and the missiles. The real one carries 12 but i added a few more.

Two angled photos.

The reference photo.

And finally, here is a video with english narration showing the maneuverability of the Su-37:

Also, check out this Sukhoi SU-30MKI by Jens Matuschek. The best Sukhoi posted on MOCpages yet!

Quoting Jay Wilson It's amazing. I've always loved Lego military and this is just right for me. But i don't have enough Lego's. I looked up the real Sukhoi SU 37 and it looks exactly the same as your's. Awesome job
Thanks, i did want it to be accurate :-)

Reminds me of battling Yellow Squadron in ace combat 4, those SU-37s were really hard to take down even in my F-16. Great work on the colors, the engines are also nicely designed. Nice job.

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 oufff! if lego creator would release planes with a minifig like that...I d be in financial problems! it s not often that I get to see planes that realistic with figs, its 'ravishingly beautiful' the lines, colors, shape, I ll have 10, red and white, with GF markings please, lol! superb, and quite unique piece!
Hehe yeah me too, i'd have a full airborne division in no time :-D But thanks! I couldn't find any minifig-scale versions of the SU-37 in correct camo color-scheme or proper size (Sukhois are usually big planes, above average for fighter planes) on MOCpages so i decided i wanted to be first to build one :-)

That is a nice Sukhoi, the desert camo scheme is my favorite part, but I also like the bazillion missiles.

You did amazing Al!,that is the most detailed Su-37 I have ever seen! I am also impatient with my builds too,so sometimes my models end up as rough finishes.

This is really impressive. I like the way that the camoflage has been included in the build but the shape still matches the original aircraft very well. I'm not sure about all the missiles, they might stop the the wings from working and prevent the aircraft from flying!

Quoting Michael Rutherford Ah...and all with no cheating! Again, a triumph. It is a thing of beauty! I really like the colors you chose, and the photography. I'm not a fan of all the exposed studs on top, but that is more a question of personal taste than building skill I think. Again, well done. Attack!
Thanks! I am also very pleased with how it turned out. I looked at the reference photo and thought this version would be perfect to add to my desert-camo division :-)

Quoting Stephan Schumann Breathtaking! You improved a great deal! Everything looks realistic and authentic scaled and coloured. Great Job! P.S. I like YOUR Sukhoi SU 37 most!
Thanks, i wanted the camo and shape to look right above anything else. I still feel the other one has a lot more detail and functions than mine, but thanks again :-)

Quoting John Stahlman Upon further review, the only changes I would make are: the engines should be further apart with the rear "boom" between them rather than over them. And the verticle stabilizers should be probably two bricks taller. Still an awesome MOC!
Thanks! I considered the engine/boom-thing myself but i didn't have anything 3-wide i could use for engines and moving the boom down with 4-wide engines would make the plane look too wide in the back. But i'll certainly look into it if i find the parts one day! About the vertical wings: That i didn't see but you're right there too :-) That will be fixed in my next building session!

Quoting Achintya Prasad That is excellent! A little too many missiles, but still. Now you need an F-15 to complete the scene!
Thanks :-) I actually have two F-16 looking enemy planes ready to fight it. They will turn up in a later posting!

Quoting Scott Allen Nice. Love the color and overall shape. Two small things. The smaller fore wings need to be a bit bigger and those missiles, just to many of them. Takes away from the realistic look you created. Other than that, awesome minifig scale jet fighter. ~cheers
Thanks! :-) You are right about the fore wings, i noticed that myself when i was preparing the photos for posting. Maybe i should move them outwards one stud? I also somehow forgot to add the 30mm machinegun on the front end of the right main wing. About the missiles: yeah i thought that would look cool but they do disturb the look :-D
