A Moon Buggy for exploring rough terrain. Inspired by having some red & white wheels and wanting to put them on long legs! Any ideas what's in the tank on the back?

What a neat buggy! Your colors are great! I love the shocks... It looks like some of the other craft you built as well! |

Having looked through a few of your MOCs today, something that really stands out is your brilliant use of colour. This one is no different, I absolutely love the design and paint-scheme : ) Added to fav' builders |

This is a beauty! I really like the red and white. I reckon the tank is full of liquefied marshmallow for Martian kids' birthday parties... or maybe that's just my daydream...
Liquified marshmallow: brilliant! Just imagine a spillage :) |

Very nice! Like the classic space signs. Not realy like the color scheme, but overall it looks good
Glad you liked the MOC. Sorry about the colours but I wanted to build something red & white, like the painting which started me thinking. I do have a folder with some "proper" Classic Space colours here: http://www.mocpages.com/folder.php/155479 |

outrageous wheels struts! How do they even work? hahaha, cool cs variant, this would look so cool with my ambulance ship!
Aha! Perhaps it's an oxygen tanker for the patients in the Ambulance Ship? I was wondering what was in the tank on the back of the buggy. The struts work because they're built from Technic bits with little teeth that let you lock the angle. These bits are 20 years old and I don't think that Lego make them anymore. |

what a nice vehicle! the colormix is well done and the wheels are great! i wanted to do something similar, but first there are other projects... ;-) One question: what kind of bleach do you use?? -for hair or clothes?? I have also so much white pieces which are mostly more tan than white... and i think about the last time how to get them clean - so please help me :) !?!
Erm, I used bleach like you clean the toilet with! That and a finger nail brush. I only did this to the sloping, roof tile type bricks as these are textured and retained dirt. If your smooth white bricks have discoloured, I think that that is permanent. Sorry! |

Thanks for your comment! Nearly every brick in this model has been through the washing machine: some of the white ones are over 30 years old. I used some mesh bags, so that the small bits couldn't escape. A few of the white bricks have been scrubbed with bleach and a nail brush. I've also stopped using the metal biscuit tins of my childhood and switched to plastic tubs to stop things getting scratched.

Checkered wonder. Ths is a perfect classic space lunar vehicle. The red and white is a nice combo. I tend to steer away from white as so many of my old white bricks have discoloured.
