The TA-19, flatbed truck.
About this creation
Although the TR-14's were very successful and very widely used by the DC, many were lost to SPA heavy fire.
LTC, Lego Truck Company, felt it was time to update the Desert Commando's main truck. The TR-14, they decided, would be used only to transport supplies out in the fields and over rough ground, where they excelled.
Turning to the drawing board, LTC decided to create a truck to be used on the roads in the towns and cities occupied by the DC. It need to be able to haul supplies the long distances between cities, be strong, easily adaptable and easy to maintain and fix. They decided to try a new approach on this new truck, and make it a long-nose cab, instead of an over-engine cab.
The tests went well, and the TA-19 was created.

Front shot, and closer, and you'd be pretty dead when that steel bumper impacts with you.
Complete with a pick and shovel, like all DC land vehicles!

Cargo are.
It's 6 wide and 15 long. Plenty of room then. It can store nearly anything, jeeps, soldiers, supplies, tank turrets...

Overhead shot.
I'm glad I went with a long nose design (engine out in front of the cab). It makes the truck look much more like a military truck. I enjoyed making this model, as well as creating the wheel arches using hinges instead of bricks. Much easier and looks better.
