Golden Whale
First ship ever with remote controlled cannons and hatches, it was a very fun project to make, alot of blood sweat and money, but its all worth it, and i did achive some personal goals, that i always wanted to make , here some of them, First Person in the world to make the remote controlled system: Check make riggins attach at outside of the railing at small platforms, (just like real ships) check Make a bending bow: check light in cabin: check railing in levels: check. most of the railings, ETC, is made by transparrent green bricks, which creates a Glowing effect, like shown at the main picture, and if you can figure just how many transparrent green bricks ive used, then you can tell me, cause i dont have a clue, some credit has to go to Sebeus I who did inspire me with he's version, of RC cannons, (but that was only a wip, that he couldnt make fit into a ship, entirely, so ive used he's idea, made it more compact, made it fit into an actual ship, and gave it hatches, so never the less he deserves some credit, if you have anykind of question then please tell me, or just tell me your opnion, and if you dont want to do any of the above, then ratings is welcome to, Enjoy,
About this creation
Below is a video that shows the system in action,
i know it isnt perfect, but its my first movie to make, ever, at moviemaker,
never the less, it works,

PS there is 39 minifigs abroad this ship, and when you look at it, then there could fit twice as many in there,

fullscale wiew, this is my first ship ever with a brig sail, at the stern, and a tricorner sail at the bow,

here you really get the sensation, why its called the Golden Whale,
it jsut seems so enormus, when you look at it from the front,

the bow was really funny to make, it was challenging but i ahd much fun doing it,

i love how it turned out, and the glowing effect created by the transparrent green bricks, is just awesome,

a monster with a beautiful mermaid in the front, it cant fail,

the cabin, as you will see further down the page, it has light inside, and i love how it turned out, even so its plain straight, then it still bends, and the windows is nice aswell

The stern, i hate the new bow pieces from lego, becasue they are the same bow and stern, so i had to make my own stern, and it turned out really great, it was hard to create the arches, but it was worth it, if you look closely, through the lines of golden grit bricks, then you see alot of transparrent bricks, hidden within,

attack mode

as i did mention earlier on, this is a mix of alot of building technics, ive wanted to do, the railings is one of them, its going in levels, and has some transparrent green lines, that will light up when hit by light, as it does right now,

the pictures above and the below, really shows the picture, i had in my head ,when i began building this ship,

im so glad im not the lookout guy,

this pirate, knows whats waiting above him,

battle scene from a distant wiew,

this door, gains acces to the deck below, unfortunately its jammed, so they cant open it,

me and the captain in heavy combat,

the diffrent deck levels, is a technic ive wanted to do since i made my first ship, i figured out how to do it, (now atleast)

Closeup of ME, WUUUUUUUHAAAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

theese pictures is taken at my bathroom, the only place the my house, thats pitch black

this is the ship without gears, (it took some work to dismantle them)

thats all folks. I hope you enjoyed it,
as much as i did
please let me know what you think,
in the shape of a comment or just a rating,

FINAL NOTE:
this is BTW the sequel to This which had the first version of the remote controlled system, but it didnt work out,
and if i had more time, then it should have looked like this from the start,

Nice! I like the decorations, and the remote controlled gunports was a clever idea. The stern windows are very creative. Great job!

Quoting Peter Mowry Wow bud this is truly a masterpiece!!! I wish you had this at the Brickworld in Chicago, it would be great to see it in person. Have you considered putting it on Cuusoo. If you wouldn't mind I'm trying to get some support for my Tron Light Cycle on Cuusoo. Here is a link to my site http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/15895 . Just trying to pass the word and tell others about Cuusoo it's a great site and somewhat new.

I only dreamed of having such a galleon ! I actually had a wooden one 4 foot long manned with lego men, it was so good, but yours is really exciting as it is all lego. Love the stained glass window effect. You`ve put so much wonderful effort into this model, it is a marvel !>....well done

Quoting Deus Otiosus That is an awesome ship you have built... I really like the front and all of the mechanical features, but would it not have been awesome if you had made a remote shooting mechanism? Oh, and also - you said you do not like the LEGO hull pieces? A good idea would be to brickbuild...
answer 1, i tried to mkake the cannons work, but it sure is diffycult, and i made it work, but only with one cannon, and then i had to spend 30 min to calibrate my system , (the cannons slide effect) so that did work as i planned, and for question number 2: i did brickbuild the whole stern myself, so that i didnt had to settle with LEGO's stern piece, hehe, but it works really nice as bow piece,

Quoting Sebeus I Now I'm bound to try making a more sophisticated ship, your ships doesn't feature pneumatic chaser cannons yet :P
well maybe i should add some pictures from the belly of my beast, and then you can see just how sophisticated it actualy is, hehe,

Quoting Ben King This a great improvement from your last ship. I especially like the curved bow and the moving cannons. The "brig" sail in the back is a bit strange looking. I really like that little trap door thing that leads to the below decks. I also think that the the sides of the ship need a bit more curve to them, like in Greenhairs technique. Anyway, Awesome ship! Keep it up!
i will never ever do something classic, and copy someone technic, never, thats why i made my very own really strange technic, hehe, and i know that the bow could look like greenhairs, but it isnt, its a coincidence, next ship i make will be a 2 decker, thats for sure, and perhaps a 5 master hahahaha

Quoting Sebeus I A unique ship, I'm happy to see my cannon system has worked its way through your hands and made it into this fine ship. The ability to completely control all functions via IR is simply epic. Now I'm bound to try making a more sophisticated ship, your ships doesn't feature pneumatic chaser cannons yet :P Great job dude.
i did try to do so, but i quickly ran screaming away from it, my next ship/tower, will be euqipped with just as many cannons and guns that i have, and there i will try out some pneumatic, or actualy, i would try to combine a modern battleships cannon turrets with a pirateship, and then make the towers turn by useing PF, its still at the drawing board though,
