This is my lego mini Normandy, form the first Mass Effect game. Although the design is copied from another builder (Lego Jamie), I have tweaked the design a bit, and added some custom decals. I built this one before the Halo frigate, and she has gone through a few modifications since then.
About this creation
I copied the main body design from "Lego Jamie's" Normandy, and made some slight modifications such as the back engines and the triangular tail fin.
Front on view
Commander Shepard minifigure with a custom hairstyle and decals, holding a custom painted and constructed rifle. I got the head from the Indiana Jones sets, and since I have 3 of them, I decided to add some shaven hair for Shepard. I did this with permanent marker.
Back view. Unfortunately I could find any white connecting tiles, to hold up the triangular tail. I ended up having to use this light grey one instead. I think it looks ugly, but hopefully I will be able to find a white one someday.
The engines were tough to perfect. They were originally the same design as Lego Jamie's, but I decided to use them for my other Normandy SR2 model, replacing them with these pieces. I got them out of the frame of the Star Destroyer. They were used to hold up the plates from the inside. Overall I think they look pretty accurate, and I am very pleased.
These are the front fins made from white minifig hands.
I like this! Unfortunately, he doesn't look like my Commander Shepard, but to be honest, my guy's butt ugly. I especially like the custom rifle, very good!
