G.A.I.A - "Big Blue"
This one's for you Parrington! A big blue/red fighter!
About this creation
The "Big Blue" or Heavy Aero-Space Fighter, is a prime example of an Earth-born fighter. The Big Blue carries several weapon systems, the most prominent is the central cannon. This cannon fires large explosive shells, that quickly punch through armor, and detonate moments after for maximum effect. This cannon is flanked on either side by two clusters of guns, five in each, of two different sizes. These guns fire in quick succession to easily cover the target area and shred opponents. Lastly the fighter is armed with four missiles, two high speed interceptors used either to defend capital ships from slower ballistic missiles, or catch rather fast fighters. The other two are multi-role high explosive.

4th: Hoo, been a while since I built either GAIA or space fighters, so I figured I'd have a go. Glad I did, had a load of fun making this one, and the end product is almost two pounds in weight! Even though GAIA fighters don't have any particular colour scheme, I couldn't resist that red and blue!

Quoting David Roberts This MOC looks highly swooshable, which is always important for a space fighter.
And it is. It's built like a brick, and super stable, so swooshing has little chance of damaging it.

A solid & heavy looking fighter. To me, it looks fast and able to take damage but perhaps not that maneuverable. I like the construction of the engines and the visual surprise when you first see the red underside. This MOC looks highly swooshable, which is always important for a space fighter.

This is a great shape and perfectly named with the Blue and Red color scheme (I'm a New Yorker Love my Giants). Really awesome details and a great looking design. It's a force to be reckoned with.

Whoa! Nice work! That honestly looks like a hybrid between the classic space and the GAIA theme there, good job on that part. I really like the big gun up front, put the power where it needs to go! Keep it up! -Ultra

At first glance this is a most appealing design to the eye. Then that eye gets a further treat with all the amazing detaling using parts in all kinds of nifty new ways! :)

You have quite the heavy fighter in this little-big blue baby! It reminds me of my Firestorm micro-scale fighter with the weapon configuration (hopefully my bird gave you some inspiration but even if it didn't there's no denying the beauty of this one). Actually after looking at both of our birds, I have an idea for something new. Now I have to see if I can actually build it!

Beautiful design. I love the front end and the unique thrusters. My favorite part is the weaponry. There is a certain consistency to the design even though they look different in a lot of ways. Well done.

Dude, what a shape! All the well thought out details like those amazing thrusters, and those bulky but sleek wings, the super well done undercarriage, and that swish cocpit, just add up together to make a truly beautiful build. Easily one of my favourite fighters on the pages. I love the color scheme too, I have often wanted to do a fighter in these colours, love that you did, and way to go with the pilot in uniform! Thanks so much for entertaining us with this wonderfully themed build, Long live GAIA!!!
