The 2nd prize is a rare, custom Spider-Man minifig with the black costume, donated by Calin, our guest judge from flickr:
There will be another prize. Calin donates one of his Micro Tumblers. This will be no third prize, but the prize for the TFOL/YFOL with the highest score in the tournament. If a TFOL/YFOL wins first/second prize instead of an AFOL, the TFOL/YFOL with the second/third highest score will win the Tumbler.
Round 1 will start at 12.00 a.m. MOC Pages Time on 06/28/2012 (that is the premiere day of the new Spider-Man movie) and will end at 11.59 p.m. MOC Pages time on 07/12/2012.
Round 2 will begin at 12.00 a.m. MOC Pages time on 7/16/2012 and end at 11.59 p.m. MOC Pages time on 07/30/2012.
The winners will be announced on 08/02/2012.
Quoting Nathan Stead
what are you working on and whats next to be displayed?
Thank you, Nathan, for showing interest. I'm working on several larger projects at the moment, like the 11th Doctor 'Blue Box' interior, a new DC superhero MOC and maybe I start a 'Harry Potter' MOC. The next one that will be finished soon is a scene from 'Lord of the Rings'.
Well this is awkward, I've been building a micro version of your Spiderman MOC also. And just finished it yesterday. But I just recently found this after I've ready finished it. It's interesting we both reached similar conclusions in our builds. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/329809 .
And I'll be sure to enter your contest. :)
What an excellent moc and a great way to advertise the contest. Loving the Micro Spidey. I have joined the group and hope to add an entry, but I am going to hold on before I officially join the contest. The prizes are fantastic – is there anyway to come 1st and 2nd at the same time ;). Your autograph on the prize would be so cool. @ Chris Melby – Thanks Buddy :D if only you were a judge ;)
@Tiler ill give it a try no harm in trying right?
Although im not that great with creating 'modular' style buildings and i commonly use lots of sets tweaking them here and there to make them look impressive - would this be ok in the contest?
