This is my entry for the "50 pieces or less" contest. Now I know many of you are probably thinking: "looks like more than 50 pieces", if so, you're correct! The contest administrators specified that all mini-figs, plus accessories (including gun-shots), counted for 3 pieces only. The build it self is comprised of thirty-six pieces. I pretty much built the creation around the fig which, by the way, has been sitting in my room since I first saw the Matrix. The build itself is a rather inaccurate recreation of the hall way shootout (in 50 pieces or less), an epic scene in the history of cinematography to say the least! Enjoy!
About this creation
My good friend Paul Vermeesch did an excellent replication of the scene also, which can be found here. My creation isn't as "copied" off his as one might imagine, but I did use his build as a reference, so it's only fair I give him some credit!
Also just for kicks here is a link to the actual "50 pieces or less" contest.
I've been wanting to use the clone flash-light accessories as bullets for a long time, so this was the opportune build. And you couldn't ask for a better scene revolving around bullets now could you?
Neo: "The One"
His trench-coat is simply two black capes connected one at each arm.
So many excellent details for such a small baseplate! I'm particularly impressed with the "bullet time" effect achieved with the use of minifig hands and transcluscent studs; pity I didn't use that design for my own dio :) Great job overall!
