"If something couldn't be flattened, crushed, chopped, burned, frozen or toppled, it was the job of the Lehvak. Nothing on Mata-Nui could stand up to their powerful acid."
About this creation
MOC Status: Disassembled
Obligatory set shot. Cute, isn't she?
The "Gritty" revamp, on the other hand...
With this bohrok, the aim was to make it look far less like the toy and more like its Baterra grandparents. This thing is huge, alien, and violent. The jaws are sharper, and can move. Replaced the confusing eyes/fangs of the set with four barraki eyes that give a bit more face to its face.
Its shields are custom built around vahki heads, with corroder's claws chosen for the slightly eroded-looking tips. The toxic slew that fires from that nozzle is meant to dissolve everything it comes into contact with, after all.
Also fitted in the shield is another nozzle from which the Lehvak can generate pointy metal spears for stabbing unruly matoran with. Fun! :D
Standing as upright as possible, Lehvak is a good deal taller than the set, and taller than a Toa Mata, but compared to a modern toa, it is to scale.
The illegally connected leaf-piece on the back is meant to represent vents in the back of the machine, like a car radiator. Also like a car, Lehvak has a radio antenna and a "fuel cap" at the bottom of the leaf piece. Vroom vroom!
A shot to show the Krana (Bo) inside the Bohrok's custom head. The canopy can open, but thanks to the pneumatic tubing making up her eyebrows, it doesn't really want to stay open.
And a shot without the head, to show the innards. Enough room in there to fit the head snugly when it's retracted all the way back. (Look ridiculous when it is though! XD)
Would you believe that this MOC actually uses my female torso design?
Size comparison with our hapless Ta-Koro guard.
And the inevitable outcome of putting the two next to each other...
And here, some other mistakes the Great Beings made.
Vrahno. This guy is a bionicle-drawing legend. Not only did he come up with Toa Nikila's canon appearance, but his bohrok drawings were a real inspiration for Lehvak here.
Truth be told, I didn't actually plan to join this contest until quite late. When I did, I simply plunged my hand into my parts bin and decided to revamp the set whose part I was holding. That just happened to be Lehvak's head-plate. After doing that, I started mucking around with a few designs, but also putting in some research into the bohrok themselves. I'm pretty sure this is enough to let me into the Bio-Cup (for my first time!). I'm just worried about what's going to happen to me now I'm finally joining! D:
On a sadder note, I have lately been scrapping several of my MOCs. Ia, Hcaet, Tezra and a few others have all had to go to free up space and parts for larger and more ambitious projects. I hadn't intended Gloriana to be among them, but, sadly, Lehvak needed a supply of Mata Green bits.
The Hex? I thought I commented on all your Bio-Cup stuff. Oh well. I really like it, and I think the Baterra-like design works. I have yet to see a good Baterra moc. This inspired me to make some Bohrok-Va.
This is awesome! If I were a Matoran, I would be very scared not only by its size, but by its teeth. Yeesh, I'd hate to get bitten by one of those. Great job. This MOC has been Dante approved!
Great! Love the design, looks mean and quite clean for this size. I would complain about the lime, but you know what? It works. Ok, feet could be a bit better and those trans red plates look strange, but thats not much. 10/10
Really Nostalgic. Love the look you gave it but i think there was far to much black in it. The eyes look great and the way you presented it really gives the insect look. Good job.

Ah, now I see where the bottom one connects, clever there, but the top one? It looks like it just stops without a 'pin' on the end.
The bottom one is connected to the top one using black pins in the technic parts to the front, and some lightaber pieces towards the back.
Very lizard-like. Too bad the Corroder pieces don't come in regular green. Still, an excellent entry, and I'm sure a start to a promising line of fantastic entries! :)
The build looks a bit messy, with the different colors put in different places with no real reasoning. Individualy, the parts look good- I love the head and shields- but it doesn't flow very well. Wonderful idea, though, and it does look pretty cool.
An excellent revamp of my favorite set ever (also my first set). I love how you did the head, a lot better than the original. Also, the hands/shields are very good, while still resembling the original. Great work!
The upgraded head its brilliant! Looks like an elite of the Lehvak or something. Shield are also very cool, you know, how to say it... Were a great idea to use that Corroder parts to buil a big-scale Lehvak Shield. The only thing I don't like very much are its feet, but I don't know why... Well, anyways, it's a great revamp! (P.D: Since when Lehvak is SHE? O.O)
Nice, very nice. I definitely like this creation, but the large amount of black doesn't feel to do so much glory to the original. Structurally it is excellent though. Aside this, I looked at Vrahno's drawings and can see the resemblance. And man, Tahnok-kal was a beast xD
I like it

Whoa, impressive. These kinda of rev-amps make me wish MOCers design Lego sets instead of Lego.
I love the design of this, absolutely fantastic, really. Makes me want to start doing the revamps I had planned. If only this was an official set, I'd blow what little money I had on it, or maybe two.
And I laughed at the last picture. XD
Very Nice! This Bohrok is definitely gritty, I've always imagined them more threatening than the originals, but not the big! It's looking like an Levahk dropped in energized protodermis, in a way. I love the overall feel of this MOC. I imagine them not too bigger than the original, since there are millions of these things in the swarm. It wouldn't have to be that big to get it's job done. It is still an absolutely amazing MOC!
ZOIKS! That's quite the revamp. Would've enjoyed a pic with both standing side by side, but I'm assuming that wasn't possible. But as a moc, brilliantly done, and definitely the style I'd expect from you. :D
Why you actually think about being worried in this contest is beyond me. Beautiful recreation! I have always wondered how in the Felipe you're supposed to revamp a Bohrok, now I know. Excellently done!
Whoa, fantastic entry! I see the inspiration by Vrahno here, but how you made it into a real creation is just amazing! The new weapons and head, but the same-shaped body from the original... excellent work! Good luck in the contest!
