Gundam ..... nuff said!
About this creation
Now I know I definitely have caught the Gundam bug, they definitely lend themselves so well to my building style. I present to you my third Gundam Lego model, Gundam: Deathsycthe Version Katoki (You Gundam modeller's will know what that means!)
I don't know a lot about the Gundam series over the years, but this one looked like a cool one to build!
Some noteables on this design: About a head taller than my previous two Gundams, I came out of my comfort zone for the torso and shoulder design, loads of poseability and articulation, sturdy frame, my standard hand design changed to support the scythe, adjustable skirts (front, back and sides), cool weapons and accessories, scythe can be held or stored on back.

PS don't worry.... more legoformers coming soon!

Pardon if this sounds like an old joke, but why doesn't it transform? It truly looks like it would be an astounding TF, maybe a jet? Nice work, as it looks amazing. Remind me again why you aren't working at lego, or as a pro builder? |

Very nicely done!
Don't worry about not knowing much about Gundam. I only saw 10 episodes of Gundam Wing before I built my first Gundam. You don't need to know much about the story to build a nice model. ;) |

Its really smooth , but the legs seem to lack some details, and look a tiny bit short.

Just had to like this with it being a mech, and the fact it's got a giant scythe. |

Very cool Chris! I am really liking your Gundam series of builds. I remember building the Deathscythe model as a teenager. It was a little different from this version though... I think... The black areas were a dark grey color. I guess there must be several different versions of them, right? |

Another awesome Gundam from you! I see that you're getting in to it now, and yes, the older MS designs go well with your style! The shoulders seem to be a bit bigger then what I remember, but maybe I'm wrong. That scythe beam is kinda short, but I can understand if it's because of the weight issue. Still, it's a great job! |

Black beauty. Great form. Love those shoulder pads. His weapon is meh, it just looks out of place. Maybe a bio or technic, but you dont use those pieces in your builds so idk? Fantastic job on the legs too. Keep it going, never disappointed by your builds. ~cheers |

Got a lot of neon green from the Lego store for a future project!
Quoting Julius von Brunk
I actually almost built a Deathscythe model like this a few years back, but ran into one major issue: the neon green scythe. The only part I could find to use was a trans-neon green stinger accessory from the Insectoids, but alas, it was weird and unable to clip onto any traditional LEGO piece. I may resurrect the idea now. Good work, regardless!
