Fourth Wall
Well here's my entry. He's a tad simple, I know, but I didn't want him to be too complicated. Unlike most of the other Matoran entered in this contest; I have kept mine at a similar size to the ones release by TLG, while most of the other entries are about the size of an average HF-build.
The reason for the System pieces on him is simple; I think they make him look "grittier", plus he looks a tad bland without 'em. I really like how I kept the look of the original's arms. The only problem I have with him is his feet; I kept trying to figure out how to fit Tohunga feet on him, but nothing worked. In the end I'm quite happy with him. I think I'll keep him built for awhile; heck I might just try and fit him in my storyline. After all, what's a good story without somebody who speaks in nothing but riddles XD

Yeah, it's just that at first I thought I wouldn't have enough time for a larger revamp. So I decided to do something smaller.

I swear I thought about making a Velika revamp for the BioCup. Fortunately, I didn't, because it wouldn't be as good as this. You have added him an atmosphere of a strange good and of an inventor. A great job!

He's very cool! I like that you kept the brown color sheme, and like you said, the system pieces fit him very well. It's also nice that he really looks like the official character in shape. Excellent entry, and good luck in the contest!
