Medieval village
My medieval village is done! It was done a week ago, but I didn't take pictures. Now I did. It's inspired by the medieval market place, which I do not own yet, although I can build most of it with my pieces. Which is not really interesting for you... The scene involves some figures that have been in my other creations, I don't have that many figures... Just look at the pictures and tell me what you like, don't like.
About this creation

Townsquare where the market is held every three days, that's the way the landlord likes it.

The landlord has a daughter, but she is not in this picture. She is not around at all, she doesn't really like her father. He drinks and he hits all kind of things around him when he is drunk, but not his daughter.

I do not know what's in this chest, but I think the bandits in later pictures do know it, they want to steal it. So it's probably something of great value.

These merry men like to eat a whole turkey together. (It said chicken on Bricklink, but it is rather big for a chicken, isn't it?)

This is the house of the landlord and his never returning daughter. That's why there is only one bed...

The guard at the house is a very good guard, nobody ever comes in. Except the landlord himself of course, but that's pretty obvious. The guard is also a very good cook, but he never shows this ability, because he is rather shy and doesn't want to show of.

There's the fireplace, with a ridiculous large chimney outside, but the builder of the house likes to build big chimneys.

Where's the roof? It's a kind of MAGIC!!!

This is the bedroom of the landlord. The picture on the wall is not a picture of his daughter, but a picture out of an old magazine, 'the medieval times fashion guide'.

The roof has been found!

Pretty weird house like this...

This is the local horse shop. The lord of the shop has a wife who takes care of all the animals, which makes him very happy.

There she is, nice necklace ha?

The local pub.

Another side of the local pub. With a pretty cool watermill, which does nothing by the way, but the builder loved to build it, so the water was used a bit more.

For playability the roof can be opened. Although the village is more for display then playing...

Inside, which I think looks pretty cool, a bit small only.

The lady at the bar is talking to a man drinking beer, she does not serve anything else.

The blacksmith is not a very busy man, with 3 horses in town and almost never a village raid or something. He likes to sleep against his own door with a hammer in his hand.

These are the men who want to steal from the chest in one of the first pictures. They look rather nasty don't they?

This is where the build started at, I only wanted to build a waterfall, but one thing led to another...

Thanx for watching! There's more to come, the village wall will be on the site in a few days, I think.

This is very good! I actually have less bricks than you, in fact probably only enough to build one building. But I've been wanting to make something like this for ages. I like how the roof opens.

Quoting Deus Otiosus I just wanted to look a this quickly and forgetting about it in five minutes, but then I started reading and must compliment you on your writing skills, you have made a very positivistic impression. But then there was a part on which I have to correct you. The "turkey" is not too big for a chicken, because it is a Scala piece, and in that scale it is just the right proportion.
Thanx for THE great comment. I didn't know the chicken was a scala piece. Haha, Greetz elio

This is a wonderful MOC. There is so much to say about it. The buildings are perfect. Great playability, even if it is only for display. I like the interaction of the minifigs, especially that it is not a battle scene, but a day in a medieval life. The waterfall is well done, but what really caught my eye is the paved area. The spiral design looks great there. Well done.

Very nice build! I think the waterfall is worthy to be it's own moc, so consider that!

A superb slice of Lego life. Massively better than the market village set. Lovely build and write-up.
