After seeing the magnificent work by Brian Santis with his Pierce Quantum in 8-wide, I felt it was time that I pay more attention to my Quantums and improve their appearance. Little by little I will make attempts to improve the LTFD Quantums. So, without further adieu, let the games begin!

About this creation

The major change here is the headlight bezzle and warning lights below the windshield. Eventually, I will make the red brick behind the headlight grey and get the needed parts to improve the bumper.

The front facing warning lights can be a single light head or dual light head, shown in the next two pictures.

If you check out Pierce's page and look at the Quantum, you'll see these two options.

Now, below is phase two of the changes. Here, I went against my typical building technique and added tiles to the roof of the cab. While I do not like to have a two-plate high roof (since in my opinion, is over-sized in relation to the windshield) in order to achieve the proper look of the top half of a quantum cab I decided to go with it. As you will see, it is a better option as you can get the roof level windows above the cab doors and window.

A simple piece of red electrical tape is used here to create separation between the window and the cab door. Yes, the newer style 1x2x2 windows would work well here as well. You will still need the red tape though for the top, roof-level windows.

As you can see, trans-black windows work well, even with a black over red paint scheme. Also notice the various lighting styles on the front of the truck.

Nope. Unless you did it this as a first attempt to building a 6-wide truck over 10 years ago with this style warning light, then yes. Fact is many people have done many different things over the years. Maybe they liked the look and posted it for the world to see. Maybe they didn't like it and scrapped it. Just because it was not published does not mean it hasn't been tried. You young guys need to remember that. ;)
