About this creation
Here is the reference picture I used to make version 2.
And my version for easy comparison.
The butt of the rifle. It took quite a while to engineer a solution to having the unique butt of the rifle as close to the one in the game as possible. It ended up being fairly strong for having not very much building material.
The mid section of the rifle featuring the pistol grip, the moving and spring loaded trigger, the trigger guard, the removeable magazine, the rear sight, and the spring loaded cocking handle. I imagine that the cocking handle is also the point where the spent cases are ejected, but that is just me. For more details on how the magazine is released, check out version 1 here.
The buisness end with the second hand grip, the front sight, and the barrel. On the front sight, there is a piece to line up with the rear sight over the target and "everything down there has very bad day" (FPSRussia).
The whole rifle with the magazine removed and a second one. Now, here is some info for all y'all who have some intrest in weapons; there is a difference between a magazine and a clip; a magazine (that almost all modern rifles use) has the cartridges inside it and can move fairly freely while a clip (like on some WWI weapons) has the cartridges attatched to it and they cannot move, plus a clip is not visible when it is in the gun. Once that was explained to me, I started to see the two used as if they were interchangeable, but they are not.
Now on to some features that I added that are not ever mentioned in the game, like a removeable butt like on some versions of the AK-47, the gun on which this was based. it wasn't hard to do plus it looks kinda cool when I do have the butt off.
The removed butt next to the rifle.
Now here is a scope that I made that is never in the game, but who cares??? It looks rather sweet. A bit of serendipity (or "The occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way") was that the front sight was at the exact right height to have it line up with the scope and allow for better aiming.
I also made an extended barrel piece for 'increased accuracy and muzzel velicoty' if the gun were real.
Here is the cocking hammer pulled back and held in place because it is spring loaded and always goes back to the front when nothing is preventing it from doing so.
Lastly me holding it for size, with by mods on it.
I hope you enjoyed this and rate it 5 stars!
