The Iron Icarus
What year is it?!
About this creation
Hello everyone! It's been a while hasn't it? For the past couple of weeks work has had a strangle-hold on my free time and I haven't had any time for building... or any other leisure activities for that matter. This midi scale ship has been sitting on my shelf for about two weeks, waiting to be photographed.

As a side note, all these photos have been edited on my new iPad. I'm not sure if i'll be using it for editing all my future photos but it did a pretty good job. Now if only Sean would make an app for uploading those photos...

Anywho, on to the MOC!

The Iron Icarus is a long-range military communications ship. (yes, another COMM ship. It just seems every ship I build lately is a COMM ship. Not sure why. Perhaps I need professional help.)

Hopefully I can get some more free time soon because i've got a big book of ideas that I can't wait to build!

Beautiful ship- and I'm with you there about the lack of free time thing lol (Sometimes I build stuff, and don't have time to take pics until a few months later 0.o)

Stunning! The TNY dishes give some idea about the true scale... Impressive. Very interesting work on textures and details and SNOT technic. A reference!!

Greebles galore! I must say, usually I don't like asymmetry, but you pulled it off well. I also like the drab colour scheme, great work!

Love the side by side construction of this! And yeah, I TOTALLY feel your pain on the whole building time thing... I've built exactly TWO things in the past six months and both were for conventions (BBTB and BW). I really just need to win the lotto so I can devote full time to building. Good luck getting some more free time, we all need it! ~ Chris.

I can picture you building this: "MUST... put... more... GREEBLES!" Those tap pieces "holding" the cones at the sides are insane!
