About this creation
This is probably the hardest car I have ever attempted, it is so low and the curves are really hard to capture. Plus theres that back window, the park of the car I really dreaded the whole time building it! I think I have done a good job, and I hope you like it. :)
You can just see the 6 cylinders peeping out the holes. The rear is a bit too square, nd from this angle, the mirrors look to big. But that gives me something to improve on if I make another 906.
I suppose the back resembles that of the 906 pretty well...
The front number decal pertrudes slightly, but nothing is ever perfectly correct in lego.
The gullwing door up, the original racing team holland cars are left hand drive, but I made this right hand drive.
Unfortunately, there are some unavoidable imperfections to the front of the car.
Interior, with a fire extinguisher, a tiny bucket seat, and some really squashed pedals.
The rear of the car lifted back.
The engine of this car has had to be squashed up, due to the rear strengthenings...
But you can still tell the engine.
Here, I have compared it to a 1/43 Porsche 906 Carrera 6.
A view from the rear deck.
Hopefully, you have noticed the background for this photo is different from my usual models. I want to use this for all my racing team holland cars.
Here are some pictures without the background, as recommended by Mortal Swordsman and Lego Builders. Thanks for that recommendation guys! And check their stuff out too!!
Not bad; considering your age. ;-) There's still lots of room for improvement, but it's still nice. I was going to rate it a 3/5, but your age brought it up a star. I agree with Mortal below me - I would like to see this car w/o the background. -LB Jr.
Excellent job on this difficult car. You have captured the curves very well and have included some nice details. I especially like the opening engine cover. Love the garage background, what a great idea, but I would still add a few photos with a plain background to show off the car. This moc is exactly what the group is about – pushing our skills. A great addition and welcome to the group :D.
