Ecurie Ecosse Jaguar D-Type
After a couple of days and a few readjustments, I present to you with great... eh, honor?... my Jaguar D-type.
About this creation

Now obviously these pictures were not taken indoors, rather outside next to the lawn.

Since it was drizzling a bit(not enough to stop me taking a camera outside, mind you) I did rush around and got a whole pile of views in no particular order.

The Jaguar has a working transmission (1+N+P), rear leafies, and front torsion bars, and wheels that turn and move about.

I finally got to use some trans-clear headlight bricks for the windscreen! =]

And in a world first, I'll let the pics do some of the talking.

(I really didn't look up much info on the car)

One last outdoor view, I could hear the rain getting more angrier in the woods, so I fled indoors. Also there were many bears, and wolverines, and pterodactyls. Yeah....

Cozy interior, with some last minute pedals and the working shifter. Works better than all my previous gearboxes, probably because I finally used the official Lego gearbox shifter pieces.

Opening entire front.

Behold the I-6 Power! POWA!!!

$$$ view

The heart of the tranny. Or would the heart be the engine? That would make this the... eh... lungs? No that'd be the radiator... idk.

Hope you enjoyed, thanks for viewing!

Great model, good job on the windshield and the tail-wing. And studs all over, they don't bother me att all!

Well, this is quite the creation! I'm loving the studded body, that style is quite effective on this car's curvy body. And way to add technical features like the gearbox...I've got to get some of those pieces, they look awesome.

Great shaping! Couldn't even imagine that the studded look works so well on this car (so rather plates than tiles on the left rear wing, too?).

The shape is really good. That it has a transmission is a pretty cool thing too. 5/5

Cool! You got the shape spot on! I love how you made the windshield and the wing. 5/5 :-)

This is very well done. The shaping isn't overly complicated and the overall shape is clean and it represents the car perfectly. I 'm especially impressed with the gearing 'n' such within this model. The windshield design is quite inventive as well. Good work!

Congrats on your 80th large car! I really like the windshield, quite unique. Strange that the only time that you take pictures outside is when it's raining a bit.

Cool jag. I think the transmission would be the leg muscles. It transfers power to the ground.. Just a thought. Keep up the good work. :)

Quoting Lego Builders BTW, your sheets seem smoother, but they could still use some ironing... ;-)
That's my mattress, not my sheets! =P Can't iron that quite yet. Not until someone invents the fireproof bed...

Nice, very nice! I like the colour scheme! Don't you know, why the designers have put the seat out of the middle position?

This looks great! Interresting asymmetric design. Not knowing the prototype I ask; Isn┤t it a little short┐? (I┤m talking about the car...)

If you add it to the 'Team Vehicle Created' thread with a link the HTML wizards will work faster. This would look soooo good on my transporter.

Brilliant! A great effort to represent this car in Lego. I agree it looks a little on the wide side but it's still very recognisable. And dark blue is the perfect colour. The rear end is the best angle, I love the way you sculpted that! Very well done Mr Chilla a fine addition to the group. I'd love to see this on top of Nicks big blue beauty!

Very cool vintage racer. Great color. I love a car built for one. They need more of this incorporated into today's cars. Lol then, no one gets a ride! Amazing Jag! ~cheers

Lovely full-stud stuff! The cockpit and curve over it, including the white roundel, are especially ace. It does however look slightly too wide / squat. Not by much, just enough to be noticeable (my Dad drove one last summer so we have a few pictures, otherwise I may not have picked up on it). Anyways, still a 5/5 - I do wonder if it could be narrowed a little though

Great job with this tricky car. I love its smiling face :), the rear end is great with the vertical wing. Excellent functions too. I assume you have locked the steering? I have also asked Nick to join his team, but I have such little time these days to build big models like this. I hope to start soon though.
