Harash Soru: "General Grievous. So we finally meet."
General Grievous: "I have been looking forward to claiming your lightsaber Soru!"
Count Dooku: "Enough! Ventress, Grievous, put your talons away. Master Soru and Master Welmin are guests and shall be treated as such."
Harash Soru: "Count Dooku, I must say I have had better welcoming parties."
Count Dooku: "My apologies my friends. Please, Master Soru, come with me, we have much to discuss. Master Welmin can mind your ship."
Queta Welmin: "Go Hara, I can handle things here."
Dooku led Hara through his mansion and into a large dining hall where he indicated for Hara to make himself comfortable.
Count Dooku: "I am glad you came Master Soru. I wanted to talk to you personally. Away from the violence of battle."
Harash Soru: "You have an offer I take it?"
Count Dooku: "Yes. You see, I know of your training. I was still a part of the Order when you first came to the Jedi, I sensed power in you like in no other. Not that you were more powerful than othr Jedi, but that you held a different kind of power. I also know of your friendship with Master Rohan Ab'lov, Master Qui-Gon Jinn and Master Michel of course. All Jedi who strayed from the Order in some way."
Harash Soru: "You are right yes. I have not had a standard up-bringing."
Harash Soru: "You wear the clothes of the Sith, you fight like a Sith, you have the power of the Sith. But strip that away and there is a Jedi. Underneath all the darkness that you hve wrapped yourself in there is a light waiting to break out. No. I do not think you are Sith Dooku."
Count Dooku: "No, you have not. That is why I was hoping you might consider an alliance."
Harash Soru: "Ha! I have as much Sith in me Dooku as you do!"
Count Dooku: "You think I am not Sith?"
Count Dooku: "So what am I then?"
Harash Soru: "You, you are a storm waiting on the edge of the Galaxy."
Harash Soru: "A raging mass of power intent on destroying before rebuilding."
Count Dooku: "They sound like Sith qualities to me."
Harash Soru: "Let me finish."
Harash Soru: "Your anger is ever building. Anger at the Republic for becoming corrupt. Anger at the Jedi for being blind to this fact. But also anger at yourself, for abandoning the Jedi."
Harash Soru: "So you wrap yourself in a cloak of shadow, hoping to shut out the truth even as it unleashes itself upon your dark shields."
Harash Soru: "You may repress these feelings but they always come back, more powerful than before."
Harash Soru: "The seeds of doubt grow in your mind as you try to work out whether being Sith has made you any more powerful than when you were Jedi."
Harash Soru: "If you but stopped and thought then you would have your answer. But you always evade the question. Setting your mind to a greater good through evil."
Harash Soru: "The Darkness presses down on these thoughts."
Harash Soru: "And all hope of the Jedi within you surviving, is washed away."
Harash Soru: "I may not be Master Yoda Dooku, but I know that at your core you are still a Jedi."
Dooku lifted a hand and placed it warmly on Hara's shoulders.
Count Dooku: "You may not be Master Yoda Hara, but you are right. And were things different, I would rejoin the Order in a heartbeat."
Harash Soru: "I understand, my friend. You must do what you think is best."
Count Dooku: "Come, let me walk you to your ship."
Out on the landing pad Queta Welmin lay defeated at Ventress' feet.
Asajj Ventress: "Such a pathetic life Jedi. Are you ready for it to end?"
Queta Welmin: "It is my duty to die for something worthy."
Harash Soru: "Queta!"
Count Dooku: "Ventress, stop!"
Dooku reached out with the Force and sent a spark of lightning slamming into Ventress' back.
Asajj Ventress: "My Lord, I thought this was your plan. You would kill Soru, whilst we handled Welmin."
Count Dooku: "I gave no such Order Ventress. I will deal with you both later! Hara? Is Queta alright?"
Harash Soru closed his eyes and stood up slowly.
Harash Soru: "No. He is dead."
Count Dooku: "I am sorry Hara. Please take your ship and leave. I will see to it that Master Welmin receives a proper Jedi funeral."
Hara nodded sadly and bent down to collect Queta's lightsabers. He walked forward slowly, brushing past Ventress and Grievous on the way to his ship. As he passed by Grievous hissed loudly in Hara's ear.
General Grievous: "Next time we meet Soru, Dooku will not be here to save you."
Nice chapter, I like where this story is going. You made Dooku sound like Dooku as you have done with all your official characters, I like it. Although I'm with Cossy, correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Grevious and Ventress fort met at Kamino. Great story so far though.
I like it
