Hello again! This time it's my first Makuta MOC, Graeler, the Rusted Champion! Some of the pictures are a bit off-colored, so ignore that, please. Graeler is also my entry for Round 2 vs. Raviel. Enjoy the MOC!
About this creation
Name: Graeler
Gender: Male
Species: Makuta
Alignment: Lawful neutral
Powers: Elemental shadow, shape-shifting, all 42 Kraata powers
Titles: Makuta Graeler, the Exiled, the Rusted Champion, the veteran gladiator
Occupation: Ex-gladiator, now wandering through the desert in search of enlightenment
Weapons: Gladiator's Shield, rusty but strong spear
Bio: Graeler was once part of the Makuta brotherhood, creating Rahi and other creatures, as was his duty. One day, while working with a particularly potent virus, Graeler was tasked with carrying a vat containing the experimental mixture to another lab. As he walked, a small Rahi that had just been created jumped on to him, startling him, and falling into the vat he was holding. Knowing what was about to happen, Graeler stood back, as a giant beast emerged from the ruined vat. In order to stop the beast from causing any further havoc, Graeler charged towards it, risking life and limb for all the other Makuta. After a lengthy fight, in which Graeler barely managed to contain the damage to a single laboratory, the beast was crushed, and Graeler was victorious. However, the other Makuta were not thankful as he had hoped, but instead angry that he had wasted the potent chemical and killed one of their experimental creatures. Wrongly blamed, wounded, and shunned, Graeler left in exile, never intending to return. For a time he wandered the vast deserts of Po-Kalas, an arid and ancient land, eventually winding up as a gladiator for sport. He always refused to kill his opponents, for fear of being shunned again. At one point Graeler and Pirai crossed paths, and trained for a time in the deserts before parting ways. As he left their ranks long prior to their rebellion, Graeler is not as evil as the other Makuta; to prove his loyalties he remains in a Toa-like form for most of the time.'He now wanders, a Rusted Champion, searching for who knows what, and possibly enlightenment along the way.
This is a tablescrap based on a creation from a few years ago named Volgromok.
With Graeler.
And now for some posters!
Auron! By request.
Cheesy! A redo, the old one I made was crap.
Rennoc! Another request.
Neox! Just for fun.
Boone! Requested.
So as you can probably tell, many of Graeler's parts are from Locnor.
That was the category for Round 2 of our MOCoff, recycling parts from a previous MOC.
Again, sorry for discolored pictures, I'm still figuring out my new camera.
I am once again taking poster editing requests! Just give me a link to a picture (necessary) and a description of what you want on the poster (optional).
It seems that nobody noticed this, but on both this page and Locnor's page are hidden previews or hints of upcoming MOCs. Not a wild goose chase, I assure you, these exist. ;)
Next MOC will probably be my Periodic Bio Contest - Round 3 entry. This should be an interesting one, the category is pretty unique... Pirates VS. Ninjas, Toa of Chlorine. Hmm.

Amazing! You never cease to amaze me with your bionicles! By the way, could you please send me an invite to your group, the B.A.T. cave! I would really like to get in, thanks.
Thanks for all the kind words, Matthew. :) I can't invite you to the BAT cave, it's sort of a small group of friends... I was actually quite surprised to be invited into it. :)

Just wondering: Are you working on the posters you said you would be making or are you waiting for the time to do so because school is ending?
I'm working on them, just at a slow pace. Yours is one of the first on my list though. ;)

I really should have commented on this earlier! It's awesome and I truly enjoyed the backstory. The greebled torso looks awesome as are those weapons. The netting is a nice touch but does it have a use? I reckon it looks great on this. Cool work my friend!
Thanks Darren! The netting is supposed to be reminiscent of the nets carried by some gladiators. The class of gladiator who had a net was called the Retarius, and was typically the least honorable of the classes, which reflects on Graeler being shunned by his kind. For more practical and literal uses, this net can hold weapons and assorted other stuff on Graeler's back.

Great job!! The only suggestion I have is to make the arms a little more porportional, they seem a little to long. Other than that, great work all around!
This guy is awesome! I love the netting on the back and the overall build. Would you mind checking out my new secondary selfmoc?http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/323771
This is really neat! I always like seeing rust-themed MOCs (That makes two I've seen now!), with their weird colors and all. Thanks for the poster by the way! Now I can claim to be Cossy's Minion >:D I've also set it as my wallpaper, again, thanks for making it!
Nice, he's epic! I like the color scheme, he seems like an old, rusted wanderer. I also think the lower arms might be a little too long. Can you fit a missile into the canon in his lower arm? I also love the torso and the thingies on his back. I'm new and would appreciate it if you, being an experienced bio-mocer would give me some tips about my mocs. :D
Cool! I like the "Rust" Effect, but the forearms seem too long, and look out of place. I also like the Tablescrap. Couldn't see the preview, unless it was either the rahi or the Toa. So is he good or evil?
Nice build, but I don't think the color scheme works very well. Maybe it's just how the camera took the pictures, but I think that replacing the orange for brown, or the gold for gunmetal might work very well.
Nice! I don't know why, but I always think that onua nuva's mask looks like takanuva's in the movie. I've been wondering, how do you come up with your torso designs? I'm not too great with torsos, and I need to know how to make better ones. I usually just repeat old torsos I've used.
Thanks all! You're right, there are an abundance of "wanderer" characters, and that's pretty much why I built Graeler. I almost always build my MOCs with some backstory in mind.
Graeler looks cool. You can edit the yellowness out with the uploader from the camera on to your computer. There should be a color corrector and it should fix it up very nicely. Volgromok reminds me of an Ork from Lord of the Rings. Finally, I have a poster request. My next Domo, Suchimapanku Domo, but it might be tricky because his name is spelled with an i with a dash over the top. MOCpages does not allow it. Here is the name: http://translate.google.com/?hl=en&tab=wT#auto|ja|Steampunk%20 Read it Phonetically. Now for the picture: http://mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=291211&id=/user_images/43671/1318594789m Nice job and thanks!
This guy is great! I do kinda agree with Legofreak about the wanderers nowadays, but I think it fits this guy. I like the color scheme on this guy and it actually looks like he has rust in some places! Now could you make a poster of Tarshduk: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/310772 Any picture that you think will work is fine. Try to do a strong but wise kinda look XD Thanks again Chronos! :D
Wow! This is great! I love the colors, and I think you had a really good idea here! Keep it up! Also, I posted two new mocs tonight. Do you think you could check those out?
