All these charming little birds are superb. I'd never considered the possibilities for making animals out of Lego before I'd come across a few others recently on this site, but these are the most realistic i have seen yet, especially considering their small size. A wonderfully quirky break from the Techie stuff I normally browse.

Lol, an ad for "Angry Birds" has popped up next to the comment box. =P I can believe these have gotten so popular, they're unique, fun, and for once they don't go from 0-60 or shoot 1000 rounds a second. They're just simple, well made pieces of properly brilliant artwork. Bravo! I still like that puffin, and the goldfinch.

This was a great series all in all. Lots of fun to look at for sure.

Thanks LB! I hope they keep improving! There are some British Birds I would have like to have built that are not in the series....yet. I thought I'd get the project up and rolling whilst I have all this publicity. My next bird is a Barn Owl which I am going to start tonight, just got myself a nice new shiny BL order through for it. Yes that is interesting about your brothers Bristol Fighter. It's a shame you guys are not more local lol I noticed your support, thank you as always LB jr :-)

Each bird is better than the last! So, the British series is over? Getting featured on so many blogs is quite an achievement, not to mention the magazine asking to feature your birds. Interestingly my brother has been invited to some kind of Bristol BBC talk show to talk about his Bristol Fighter. It was kind of odd, don't you think? It would be great to have them at Bristol Zoo. I lived in Bristol for some years and still regularly visit - when we come we often take the kids to the Zoo, your Lego birds would be an incentive to do this again.

Hi David Thank you very much! I would love to display them but have not arranged anything yet. I plan to contact our local Zoo (Bristol Zoo) to see if they would exhibit them there. I am also about to join Brickish (UKs Lego User Group) to enquire as to whether I can display them, along with a lot of my other creations at one of there shows.
