About this creation
These are my first movie-accurate minifigs of the main characters of the Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Gollum is also included, though he not really shown until The Two Towers. I was going to just take this page down when I uploaded my new LotR customs, but since it already has such a good rating and reviews, I decided to leave it up.

To the one called "T": What the crap is wrong with you? If you think making little plastic people is a waste of time, then what on earth are you doing visiting MOCpages?

Please pay a visit to my personal website, where you can view ALL of my LEGO customs and more:

I gave the ranger Aragorn my Metal Gear Solid trench coat design, which really adds to his ragged look. It took me a while to decide on a head to use for him, but I thought that the Qui-Gon Jinn head here fit him better than most of the old Castle heads that some other builders online have used.

Boromir's face and body were both made by me using decals. His hair, to make him look different from Aragorn, is the Episode 2 Obi-Wan orange color, and his sleeves are dark red. All in all, he is one of the best I made, I think.

I got tired of seeing other customizers online protray Gandalf as the default blue wizard with the whtie beard that comes in all the old Castle sets. So I gave him a Dumbledore grey beard and painted his hat dark grey. I also used a spear with the head broken off for his staff, so it would be long and jagged on the end.

This is Merry Brandybuck. Merry and Pippin are my two most simplistic customs. I feel I must apologize for their smiley face heads, but I could not think of anything better to use.

This is Pippin Took. Merry and Pippin are my two most simplistic customs. I feel I must apologize for their smiley face heads, but I could not think of anything better to use.

I just had to make a Ringwraith, despite the simplicity of such a custom. If only LEGO made silver hands... oh well.

Saruman is really the main badguy of the Lord of the Rings movies, because Sauron is never shown. This Saruman was made using white-painted Qui-Gon Jinn hair with the sidse cut off, an Emperor Palpatine head, and a custom-made cape.

And here, of course, is the Fellowship of the Ring. The Legolas back there is using the hair I originally gave him, before I switched to my Metal Gear Solid Liquid Snake hair.

Here are the Hobbits. Sam and Frodo go up front (note Frodo's custom Sting sword), all serious, while Merry and Pippin grin ignorantly in the background.

Here is Gandalf with his hat off... like when he's fighting the Balrog. Be sure to check out my Balrog custom!

Gimli is my favorite character, so I made his minifig as accurately as possible. I had to cut up a halberd, a beard, and some samurai armor to make him. Note the samurai armor shoulder pads. Want to know what I did with the other pieces of my samurai armor? I glued them to the Marine commander of my Halo customs. Go visit the Scorpion Tank page to see...

This is my favorite minifig... Gollum. I've only seen a few other Gollums online and none of them really looked like Gollum, being too fat and not hunched over. So I made my Gollum using a Life On Mars alien body. Of course, I made his face decal myself.

Legolas, the best fighter in the movies (admit it, he kicked major butt, unfortunately leaving no other character a chance to show of their own skills, especially Gimli). At any rate, note that his hairpiece here is the same one I used on Liquid Snake in my Metal Gear Solid customs.

   Here's Legolas with his bow.

These are the best customs on the internet because i dont post my customs. jk jk If i post mine they'd be the best as with yours. yours are amazing. Now for the criticism as i know everything about lotr. First your gollum should be more greeny. Not to green but a little more green. As to the person who said he should be flesh colour. You are wrong. That would be smeagol a hobbit if it were flesh coloured. he would also be a minifig. As for merry and pippin you should use different chest decals. Plus you should try to find hair that some people use for their custom Frodos. Plus their hair is more brown than blonde. For saruman you could have made a custom staff. I'll post mine as it accurately portrays his actual one. I agree with you that Boromir is your best. BTW legolas isn't the main fighting character. Aragorn does a lot of fighting to. Legolas is a good character but he is kind of a kill stealer. I agree gimli is more serious in the books and should have been made more serios. His custom owns.I have seen your other ones and they are better. PS have you seen the lightup sting moc. its minifig scale and id love to buy it. Search it up. All in all i rate it a 4.

Interesting, I pictured the Nazgul exactly like that, but Merry and Pippin don't wear the same clothes and they don't both have blonde hair, how do you get white Qui-Gon Ginn hair? And Gollum probably would be a flesh colored minifigure, despite him hunching over, and you should see my Gollum head and Fellowship of the Ring, it looks awesome.

Ahem, to 'Mike Perlman ', if you don't like lord of the rings, why did you bother visiting this page, let alone write a reveiw? Excellent work as always. BTW, i have recently posted a comic inspired by your 'So you wanna be an adventuer?' series.

MOC of the day!! I really do like them. I love the ring rath. Try putting a dark-silver KK2 (evil) helmet on the Nazgul to make him the witch king! My only problems with this is Merry and Pippin's faces, and Golom. He is just... not good. PLEASE do something to make him better. Besides that, great.
