Yellow School Bus - Update
About this creation
Yellow School Bus Project - Part III - Updated: You build it, they will comment! LOL

Well the basic bus has been modified with mirrors, the updated door, and a temporary stop sign. (Actual Lego stop sign(s) are coming from Hong Kong believe it or not. Ordered over two weeks ago. I photochopped a picture of the sign for the combined shot picture.) The seats and the ribbed floor are not put in yet. Using the LDD and actually building it was not quite the same on this scale and the front end kept coming apart. Had to rebuild it. Planning even a different front end frame. The roof does not come off so I will redo it and use plates instead of bricks above the windows so the third layer of plates will be mostly tiles so the roof can be taken off easier so minifigures can be put in and out.

UPDATED INFORMATION ABOUT THE BUS:

I saw this on CUUSOO (Yellow Bus by Brickwild) and made a couple of comments but no response so I thought I would try doing it in LDD also. Then I decided to actually build it. I did not see the link Ryan Smith posted on MOCPages when I did my LDD from the photos on CUUSOO. I contacted Bill Ward and asked him about his school bus but the picture he sent me was nothing like this one or the one Ryan did. Anyway, I could have saved myself hours of time by using Ryan's LDD instead of doing it from scratch. (Ryan: Great work on the LDD you did!) I actually started my LDD doing the same comment I made on CUUSOO! I really should have started with the frame! DUH! (lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/8175)

It looks really nice. One minor suggestion: Raise the curved slopes over the front wheels about one plate in height. That will cover the gray grill from the side and I think make is slightly more proportional.
