About this creation

This Koi fish, installed in a real lake, is built out of 1,937 LEGO bricks set next to five giant lily pads, a frog and a water lily (lotus bloom). See more photos of the frog and the lily pads.





The sculpture was installed in April 2012 at Reiman Gardens in Iowa as part of my traveling exhibition, Nature Connects. In October 2012 it will travel to it's next location, so stay tuned for updates!







The entire sculpture was assembled in my New York City art studio, then custom-crated in museum-quality exhibition crates for my new show, Nature Connects, which is currently touring the United States.

I'm so glad you made this!Seriously,the Koi is one of my favorite fish species,very marvelous yet I kove the close up pictures on it as they help me observe the techniques and the way you built this.Probably my favorite model coming from you!
